However, when she received the call once more, she agreed to go over right away and requested that Maya accompany her.
In front of the floor-to-ceiling window, Maya looked at Ella Turner's expectant eyes, biting her lower lip tightly, conflicted.
She thought for a moment, took a deep breath, and said, "Alright, I'll let Liam know."
"Okay!" Ella nodded, her face full of guilt, as though blaming herself for troubling Maya.
In the bedroom, when Maya opened the sliding door, she saw Liam holding a book in his left hand, his eyelids drooping from sleepiness.
She quietly approached the large bed, bent down and leaned in front of Liam, lifted her right hand, and took the book from his hand, saying, "Liam, if you're tired, just sleep!"
Listening to the girl's gentle voice, Liam took a deep breath, held her small hand, and asked, "Has Ella left yet?"
"No, Ella wants me to accompany her to Ethan Turner's company to fill out some forms and bring Ethan's stuff back."
