Liam watched Maya struggle to eat the meat, looking anxious. He loved it when Maya acted all cute around him.
So, he deliberately paused in place and, pretending to be calm, said, "I'm too lazy to believe you."
Maya saw Liam's gaze wavering and immediately walked forward with her right leg lifted in a swift motion, placing it beside Liam's head. She leg-donged Liam.
Then, she tugged at his collar with her left hand and triumphantly asked, "Little guy, keep running! Got caught by me, didn't you?"
"Pfft..." Liam couldn't help but laugh at her questioning, thinking if he didn't want to be caught by Maya, she couldn't catch him tonight. He was letting her win; couldn't this little thing see that?
Liam took a deep breath, lowering his gaze, and sized Maya up.
He turned his head, staring at her long leg pinning him against the wall, nearly getting a nosebleed.
