Ariel Morris tried hard to steady her emotions, calming her panicked and fearful heart. She reached out to touch the bathroom wall, standing firmly against it.
She reached out and rubbed her eyes vigorously, trying to clear her vision.
"Ariel!"
Accompanied by anxious footsteps, Arlo Seys' worried voice sounded at the bathroom door. Ariel's hand paused on her eyes, her movements stopped for a moment.
Arlo rushed into the bathroom, paused at the door, and saw the shattered cup on the ground. His brow furrowed momentarily before stepping over to Ariel, who was standing against the wall.
"Ariel, what's wrong? Why are you covering your eyes?" Arlo's voice carried a hint of panic.
Ariel didn't open her eyes, her fingers still covering her vision. She gave a faint smile, her tone relaxed yet slow: "I'm fine, Arlo. I just accidentally got toothpaste in my eyes while brushing my teeth earlier. Now I can't open them. Can you help me wash them with some water?"
"Okay." Arlo nodded.
