Veralina Quinn shook her head and smiled, "Seeing you two as a loving couple is what we, as parents, want the most. Arlo is quite reserved, just like his dad, a bit boring. Please don't dislike him for it."
Ariel Morris pressed her lips into a smile, her voice gentle, "No way, I like Arlo. Every moment with him flies by so fast, I wish time would slow down a bit."
Veralina linked her arm with Ariel's and sat down on the sofa, hesitating for a moment before speaking in a low voice, "Ariel, I'm sorry about what happened last time. I didn't expect it would cause you to lose the baby. Ariel, I'm sorry, I---"
"Auntie, it's in the past, you can't blame yourself. It was my own carelessness." Ariel shook her head, interrupting Veralina's words, and grasped her hand gently, smiling softly, "I know it was you who arranged meals to be delivered to the hospital every day when I was admitted, even though Arlo didn't say a word, I knew."
Veralina was surprised, "How did you know?"
