Scarlett Yates dragged a chair to the bedside and sat down, unfazed by Matthew Saxon's frowning and disdainful look at her.
Matthew Saxon sneered, "What thick skin."
"What's so thick-skinned about it? We're married, and I'm visiting my own husband. How is that thick-skinned? Matthew Saxon, I suppose George has told you everything he needed to. You surely don't still suspect I'm deceiving you, do you?"
"Even if you're not deceiving me, so what?"
He said lightly, "I still don't remember you; to me, you're still like a stranger."
Scarlett Yates curled her lips, smiling as she said, "It's alright, you'll remember soon."
