"Come on, let's eat."
Wen Yichen nodded and walked over to the dining table to sit down. "I'll stay at my aunt's place tomorrow."
"My mom... passed away." Han Xi looked up at Wen Yichen, misty-eyed.
Lu Jinghan put down his chopsticks and held Han Xi's hand warmly. "You should stay here."
"Okay, I understand."
Wen Yichen had never actually met his aunt, so when he heard about her passing, he wasn't sad, just a bit shocked.
After dinner, Han Xi prepared a new set of toiletries for Wen Yichen and then returned to her room. She sat on the edge of the bed, leaning on Lu Jinghan's shoulder. "Jing Han, my injury is almost healed. I want to return to work at the hospital tomorrow."
Lu Jinghan put down the book he was holding and wrapped Han Xi in his arms. "Okay, but remember not to overwork yourself."
"Mm, I'll go take a bath now."
After Han Xi went to the bathroom, Lu Jinghan's phone rang; it was Feng Yi calling. Lu Jinghan took the phone to the balcony to answer.
