The next morning, Han Xi groggily sat up in bed, feeling a slight pain from the wound on her back.
She picked up her phone from the bedside table and glanced at it; it was already nine o'clock in the morning. She had clearly set an alarm last night.
Lu Jinghan walked out of the bathroom, flashing a gentle smile at Han Xi, "I turned off the alarm, and I also arranged leave for you at the hospital. You should wait until your wound heals before going back to work."
"But I have a surgery scheduled for today."
Lu Jinghan walked to the bedside, leaned down, and kissed the corner of Han Xi's mouth, "Don't worry about it, just stay at home and recover well, or else I won't let you go to work."
"Alright then."
Han Xi had no choice but to obey. She lifted the quilt, got out of bed, and after freshening up in the bathroom and changing into some clothes, she went downstairs with Lu Jinghan.
