The car interior sank into a brief silence. Jiang Jingheng looked at her, the roadside lights flickered over her eyes, as clear as if one could see to the bottom.
In a warm voice, he said, "Alright, I'll make the arrangements."
"Hmm." Mu Yan nodded, looking ahead at the road.
Jiang Jingheng also withdrew his gaze, focused on driving, and the two stayed silent on the way back to the villa.
After freshening up, Mu Yan went back to bed to rest.
When Jiang Jingheng came out of the bathroom after showering, he found she had already fallen asleep.
Standing by the bed, Jiang Jingheng looked at her sleeping face, his brows heavy, her words from tonight flashed through his mind, a shadow fleeting in his eyes.
He turned and left the room, gently closing the door behind him.
On the bed, Mu Yan's eyelashes trembled slightly, and then she slowly opened her eyes.
She stared in the direction of the door for quite a while, before slowly closing them again.
