In front of her was a middle-aged woman who appeared to be about fifty years old, slightly plump, round-faced, with small eyes, looking kindly and gentle.
She saw Mu Yan and smiled, "Madam, you're back. The meal will be ready soon, you should rest for a while first."
Mu Yan snapped back to reality and asked, "Who are you?"
"I am the new maid, here to take care of your daily needs. My last name is He, you can call me Mrs. He. If there is anything you'd like to eat, you can tell me." Mrs. He squinted her eyes into slits as she smiled, looking quite cheerful.
Despite Mu Yan's significant mood swings at the moment, she couldn't bring herself to be cold to her.
"Just make whatever you see fit." Mu Yan nodded and turned towards the living room.
After taking just a couple of steps, she suddenly turned around, unwilling to give up, and asked Mrs. He, "Has my husband been back?"
Mrs. He looked at her somewhat perplexed, "Husband? He hasn't been back."
