Brandan felt a sense of discontent, but upon seeing her smile, the gloom in his heart involuntarily dissipated a lot. He let out a light hum and turned his head away, ignoring her.
Iris Harris lowered her head and smiled, not knowing what she was thinking, but the smile on her face grew more gentle.
She broke free from Brandan's hand, and as he turned to glare at her, Iris looked at him, laughed, and raised her hand to intertwine her fingers with his.
Brandan glanced at their clasped hands, and his expression became slightly more pleasant.
Seeing his childish demeanor, Iris felt a slight pang in her heart. The person she liked was really easy to understand; he would be happy as long as she was willing to be with him.
But in this world, there are too many situations where things don't go as desired, and the days she could stay by his side were limited.
"Let's go back."
