Iris Harris burst into laughter; she propped her chin and looked at Charles Hyde, chuckling, "Mr. Hyde, I've known Brandan for thirteen years. I saved his life. If I'm a dubious woman, then what does that make a man who owes me his life?"
"Back then, we do have to thank you for Brandan's illness," Charles Hyde's tone was flat, "I was busy with work and couldn't get back in time..."
"Well, after all, it took you three years to come back; you were indeed quite busy."
Her tone carried a hint of sarcasm.
Charles Hyde slightly frowned, staring at the woman in front of him. The smile at the corner of her lips was somewhat blurred, making it hard to grasp her meaning.
