"I'll come down to eat myself."
Brandan nodded, opened the door, and left.
In the hall, Nathan was walking up, hesitated when he saw Brandan coming down: "Where's my sister?"
"She'll be down for dinner later."
Nathan responded with an "Oh," and followed Brandan into the dining room.
Upstairs, William was coming out of the lab, and upon hearing Brandan's words, he paused and turned towards Iris's bedroom.
"Knock, knock, knock."
"Brandan?"
"It's me," he replied calmly.
"Xavier, wait for me!"
Inside came Iris's slightly panicked voice, then a loud "thud!" echoed on the floor, prompting William to instinctively push the door open and see Iris and her blankets fallen onto the floor.
"Iris?"
William furrowed his brows lightly, walked over, and lifted her from the ground; Iris's face turned a little red, "Xavier, I'm not wearing any clothes... could you get my pajamas from the bathroom?"
