Cora Ginger's face turned pale: "You and her... are together?"
"Yes."
Cora's heart sank, feeling as if something most important to her had been taken away.
She forced a smile: "There's no need for it to be like this, it's not good to see."
Connor laughed, loudly, but there wasn't a trace of humor in his deep blue eyes!
"Cora, you know it's not good? Then why didn't you feel bad about those kiss marks on your neck more than two months ago? Do you know how I felt when I saw them?"
Connor threw away the watermelon in his hand, walked out from the shade, into the scorching sunlight, his tone cold: "I hated you then, hated you for so easily abandoning me, throwing yourself into another man's embrace."
The sun shone directly overhead, Connor's figure radiant, his white shirt dazzlingly bright, the crystal buttons shining brilliantly!
