"What?! She's just arrived and already put in confinement?"
"You can't blame me for that, she got into a fight as soon as she got here. Everyone involved was confined, that's the rule."
"Take me to her!"
"No visits allowed during confinement."
Connor kicked him: "Stop with the crap, lead the way!"
Lucas Chambers had no choice but to take him to the confinement room.
The confinement room was small and dark; when the door opened, light streamed in, and Natalie Niles, sitting on the floor, instinctively raised her hand to shield her eyes.
The next second, she fell into a firm, warm embrace.
She was incredulous: "Connor?"
"It's me."
Connor's voice was slightly hoarse; he lifted Natalie's disheveled hair, noticing the bloodstain at the corner of her lips and the bruise on her cheek.
His heart hurt terribly: "Does it hurt?"
Natalie did not answer him; she looked up at Lucas Chambers standing at the door: "Is he allowed to see me?"
