The room was thankfully very clean and tidy, the army green quilt folded neatly and spotless.
Connor asked Natalie Niles to lie down, covered her with the quilt, and wanted to get her some water, but Natalie grabbed his hand.
"Where are you going?"
"To get you some water to drink."
"I don't want to drink, hold me, Connor."
"Drink some water first, then I'll hold you."
"I want you to hold me now."
Connor's heart softened, he lifted the quilt and lay down on the bed, pulling her tightly into his embrace.
Natalie was finally happy, holding Connor's waist, sometimes kissing his cheek, sometimes kissing his neck, sometimes biting the red bean on his chest through his shirt.
The deep blue in Connor's eyes became more intense, his voice hoarse: "Are you trying to take my life?"
"Will you give it if I want?"
"I will."
