Isabella Weaver sighed lightly, "Secretary Landon, make some tea, and bring a wet towel."
The tea was quickly brewed, its aroma filling the entire office. Isabella Weaver and Cora Ginger sat together on the sofa, taking the wet towel from Secretary Landon's hand, slowly wiping Cora Ginger's face.
Cora Ginger had made herself a dirty mess, with dried tear stains, looking pitiful.
"Isabella, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have snapped at you yesterday. It's just that... my brother is detained and facing jail time. I'm too anxious and scared, please don't take it to heart, okay?"
Isabella Weaver nodded.
"Are we still good friends?"
Isabella Weaver nodded again.
Cora Ginger cried and laughed, hugging her tightly, "I knew you were the best!"
Isabella Weaver did not return the hug, listening to her chatter, as if they were as close as before, as if nothing had happened.
