Alexander Parker's tone was unpleasant, and Austin Winters, afraid of provoking him, quickly placated him: "Yes, I'm the one with the crooked ways. I'm petty, and you're a gentleman, so don't fuss with me. I already said I'm here to say goodbye. Let's not end our last meeting on a sour note."
