Zoe Lewis's eyes widened in an instant, thinking she had heard wrong!
Ryker chuckled lightly: "Just kidding, go freshen up, time to sleep."
Zoe Lewis was a bit taken aback.
He can crack jokes now?
"Need me to help you?"
"No need!"
Zoe Lewis quickly refused, "I can do it myself."
"You shouldn't get your hand wet."
"I still have another hand."
Seeing that Zoe was determined to be independent, Ryker let her be, got up to fetch her a new towel and toothbrush, and found a glass to use as a rinsing cup.
The cup was one he had used; he stood at the sink and washed it thoroughly: "I've used this, you'll have to make do."
"No problem, I don't mind you."
"Hmm, I don't mind you either."
Zoe Lewis said nothing in response.
She felt Ryker minded her sometimes, although it depended on the moment; when he was in a good mood, no matter how much she messed around, he was very tolerant, but when he was in a bad mood, whatever she said was wrong, even saying nothing would earn a scolding.
