Chapter 17 - Chapter 17: The End of the Ninja Exam

Morning light slowly spread across the Ancient Masters Village.

The sky was clear, and a cool breeze moved through the trees as the remaining students gathered once again in the arena.

Today would decide everything.

For weeks they had trained, fought, and pushed their limits. Many students had already been eliminated, but the strongest teams were still standing.

Kaelen stood beside Allan near the edge of the arena.

Both of them were silent.

Across the field, the other teams waited as well.

Ryuzen and Darek stood confidently, their expressions calm. Kaito and Sora quietly observed the arena. Mira and Ren looked focused and prepared.

Taro and Akira were also there, discussing something quietly.

Several other teams stood nearby, each one ready for the final stage of the exam.

Above them, the exam supervisors and instructors had gathered on the observation platform.

After a few moments, the chief examiner stepped forward.

The arena slowly became silent.

"Students," he began.

"You have reached the final stage of the ninja exam."

His sharp eyes moved across the remaining teams.

"You have shown strength, teamwork, and determination."

Some of the students straightened their posture proudly.

"But becoming a ninja of the Ancient Masters Village requires more than just power."

He paused for a moment.

"It requires discipline, control, and the ability to survive difficult situations."

The chief examiner raised his hand.

"Your final test will begin now."

Two assistants stepped forward carrying a large wooden box.

Inside the box were several small scrolls.

The assistants began distributing the scrolls to each team.

Kaelen took the scroll carefully.

The scroll was sealed with a small symbol.

Allan looked curious.

"What do we do with it?"

Before Kaelen could answer, the examiner continued speaking.

"Each team must protect their scroll while entering the forest."

A few students looked surprised.

"The forest around the village will serve as the final testing ground."

The examiner pointed toward the distant forest beyond the arena walls.

"You will have two hours."

The students listened carefully.

"During those two hours, your objective is simple."

He paused.

"Return to the arena with your scroll."

A few students looked confused.

"That's it?" someone whispered.

But the examiner continued.

"You will face various challenges inside the forest."

His voice became more serious.

"You may encounter traps, obstacles, and other teams attempting to steal your scroll."

The meaning was clear.

The final test was about survival and teamwork.

"Only the teams that return with their scrolls will pass the exam."

A wave of excitement and tension spread through the students.

The chief examiner raised his hand again.

"When the bell rings, you may begin."

The students moved toward the forest entrance outside the arena.

Kaelen and Allan walked side by side.

"This is the last test," Allan said.

Kaelen nodded.

"Yes."

The forest entrance stood just beyond the village walls.

Tall trees blocked most of the sunlight, and the deeper parts of the forest looked dark and mysterious.

The bell rang.

Immediately, the teams rushed into the forest.

Kaelen and Allan moved quickly through the trees.

The ground was uneven and covered with roots and rocks.

They moved carefully but quickly.

"Stay alert," Kaelen said.

Allan nodded.

As they moved deeper into the forest, they noticed signs of traps placed by the examiners.

Hidden ropes, falling branches, and narrow paths designed to slow them down.

Several teams struggled with these obstacles.

But Kaelen and Allan worked together smoothly.

Allan used water techniques to clear difficult paths, while Kaelen carefully avoided the traps.

After some time, they reached a small clearing.

"Looks like the halfway point," Allan said.

Kaelen checked the scroll.

It was still safe.

Suddenly, they heard movement nearby.

Both of them immediately became alert.

But instead of enemies, another team appeared from the trees.

It was Mira and Ren.

For a moment, both teams looked at each other carefully.

But neither side attacked.

"We're not wasting time fighting," Mira said calmly.

"Same here," Kaelen replied.

Both teams quickly continued in different directions.

Time was passing quickly.

Deeper in the forest, Kaelen and Allan encountered more obstacles.

One area was filled with hidden holes in the ground.

Another part of the path had narrow stone ledges along a steep slope.

Several teams struggled here, but Kaelen's training with Razen helped him move carefully and steadily.

Finally, the sound of the arena bell echoed faintly through the forest.

The two-hour time limit was approaching.

"We have to hurry," Allan said.

They moved faster.

Soon the trees began to thin.

The arena walls appeared ahead.

Students were already returning from different directions.

One by one, teams arrived at the arena entrance.

The exam supervisors recorded their names as they returned.

Kaelen and Allan stepped into the arena.

The chief examiner looked at them.

"Scroll?"

Kaelen handed it over.

The examiner nodded.

"Accepted."

Kaelen and Allan had passed.

More teams returned over the next few minutes.

Ryuzen and Darek arrived confidently.

Kaito and Sora followed soon after.

Mira and Ren returned as well.

Taro and Akira also completed the test successfully.

Finally, when the time limit ended, the chief examiner raised his hand.

The arena became silent once again.

"Students," he said.

"The ninja exam has now ended."

Everyone waited for the final announcement.

The examiner opened a scroll containing the results.

"After reviewing the results of the training, battles, and final test…"

He looked up.

"Ten teams have successfully passed the ninja exam."

The examiner announced

Winning Teams of the Ninja Exam are:

1.Kaelen & Allan

2.Ryuzen & Darek

3.Kaito & Sora

4.Mira & Ren

5.Taro & Akira

6.Hiro & Kenji

7.Yuto & Shin

8.Daichi & Riku

9.Leo & Arman

10.Jin & Kuro

Excitement spread through the arena.

"You will now be recognized as official junior ninjas of the Ancient Masters Village."

The selected teams stood proudly.

Kaelen and Allan looked at each other.

They had done it.

Their long journey through training and battles had finally paid off.

But Kaelen knew something important.

This was only the beginning.

Becoming a ninja was not the end of his journey.

Far greater challenges awaited him in the future.

And somewhere beyond the village, secrets connected to his ancestors were waiting to be discovered.

The path of the Ancient Masters had only just begun.
