The passageway that pierced through from Eternal Night into the Eternal World was called the Demon Abyss. But the passageway that extended from the Eternal World into Eternal Night was called the Well of Gods and Demons.
Of course, this was merely a difference in name—in truth, there was little real distinction. At most, it depended on who held the dominant position. Within the Demon Abyss, the power of Eternal Night's laws reigned supreme, and it was filled with countless evil fiends of the Night. But in the Well of Gods and Demons, dominance belonged to Eternity—belonged to Great Yi.
Relying on the Abyssal Blood Crystals intercepted from the Demon Abyss, Great Yi forcibly opened nine Wells of Gods and Demons. And the moment they were born, they were already large-scale wells. One could say this was nothing less than snatching meat from the tiger's mouth of Eternal Night.
Not only had Great Yi dared to attempt this—they had succeeded.
This scene, falling into the eyes of the countless Immortals and gods at the banquet, made their jaws drop in shock. Their minds felt as though a thunderbolt had crashed through them—the impact was simply too great.
Wasn't facing the invasion of Eternal Night always a matter of passively defending and suppressing?
But who had ever decreed that the Eternal side could not counterattack Eternal Night, directly launching a strike into their world, opening their own Wells of Gods and Demons to pierce both realms and march straight into Eternal Night?
What others dared not even imagine, Great Yi dared to imagine. What others dared not attempt, Great Yi dared to attempt.
At this moment, all the Immortal deities present felt firsthand just how different Great Yi truly was. Their thinking was not of passive resistance, but of retaliation—"If you dare invade me, I dare to counter-invade and kill my way into your very home."
In this world, there was never such a truth as allowing others to attack you while forbidding you from striking back. The only question was: dare or not dare.
Great Yi had truly done it. At this moment, they were the pioneers of the Eternal World, destined to leave an indelible mark. From this day forth, whenever one spoke of Eternal Night, they would inevitably recall Great Yi's heroic feat—daring to strike directly into Eternal Night.
Great Yi, from top to bottom, was full of iron-blooded fools who didn't even know the meaning of fear.
The opening of the Wells of Gods and Demons proceeded with perfect smoothness, without the slightest mishap.
The power they had seized from the metamorphosis of over thirty Demon Abyss into large-scale abysses had finally condensed into the present nine large Wells of Gods and Demons. Once formed, the wells naturally emanated a unique domain field.
Once established, the Wells were irreversible. They could not be stopped, could not be erased. They could only be suppressed, but were nearly indestructible.
"Excellent. Since Eternal Night dares to come, then my Great Yi dares to kill."
Yi Tianxing nodded slightly, then declared:"Disciples—suppress the Demon Abyss, guard the Wells of Gods and Demons!!"
As his words fell, several Heavenly Gates suddenly appeared above Xuanhuang City.
One was pitch-black, exuding endless demonic intent.
Another was vast and desolate, radiating the wild aura of barbarism.Another brimmed with eerie, unpredictable energies.
Disciple Gate—the Demon Gate!
Disciple Gate—the Beast Gate!
Disciple Gate—the Eerie Gate!
On the three gates appeared images of demon gods, savage beasts, and evil spirits—each radiating killing intent and chilling demonic might. These were no benevolent beings; their very existence was for slaughter. Their sole purpose: to fight on Great Yi's battlefields, to expand its dominion, to serve as the vanguard armies.
As the three Heavenly Gates appeared, divine light flickered within them. Moments later, Blood Moon Minotaur Generals strode out, each towering over a hundred zhang tall, emanating auras of third or fourth tier strength. From the gates stretched nine rainbows, piercing the void and linking directly to the nine Wells of Gods and Demons scattered across Great Yi's domain.
Next surged forth countless Nine-Tailed World-Destroying Demon Dragons, hordes of ferocious beasts, and flocks of savage birds. From the Eerie Gate poured forth uncanny spirits—phantoms, undying puppets, ghosts, and deathless undead.
These disciple armies, as soon as they appeared, mounted the rainbow bridges and rushed swiftly toward the Wells of Gods and Demons. More bridges extended out, casting troops into over thirty territories of Great Yi—directly toward the locations of the Demon Abyss.
In the blink of an eye, tens of thousands, hundreds of thousands, millions—tens of millions of troops streamed from the gates like an unending tide.
The fundamental power of the Disciple Gates was to summon limitless armies. On the battlefield, they could sweep unhindered, serve as the strongest cannon fodder legions, even as armies of slaughter and annihilation that crushed all foes. Formed from the power of the seven emotions and six desires, they could be endlessly replenished. No matter how many fell, there was no heartache.
As long as the Disciple Gates existed, endless armies could be called forth.
"Not enough. More!!"
Yi Tianxing's voice rang out again. Immediately, several more Heavenly Gates manifested.
One was entirely blood-red, as though forged of congealed blood, its surface etched with hideous images—grimacing Asura and beautiful, deadly Rakshasa.
Another emanated the majestic might of towering Yellow Turban Warriors.
Another unleashed the troops of the Executors of Reward and Punishment.
These were the newly born Disciple Gates:
Disciple Gate—the Blood Gate!
Disciple Gate—the Immortal Gate!
Disciple Gate—the Hell Gate!
These three had been formed during Great Yi's ascension to Immortal Court, when top-tier entities—Blood Asuras, Yellow Turban Warriors, and Executors—were devoured and fused into the Disciple World as new origins. Now they could endlessly spawn armies: the Blood Gate birthed Blood Asuras, the Immortal Gate Yellow Turban Warriors, the Hell Gate Executors of Reward and Punishment.
Now six Disciple Gates ran in unison, ceaselessly devouring the world's emotions and desires to breed vast armies that rushed toward the Demon Abyss and Wells of Gods and Demons.
From the Demon Abyss, swarms of fiends had only just emerged before being intercepted by falling disciple armies. Battles erupted around the Abyss entrances. Those entering the Wells of Gods and Demons did not immediately charge into Eternal Night; instead, they secured the Wells as their base of conquest.
Stabilize the foundation first.
There was no rush—the Wells were naturally hidden. Unless they began a true assault, no visions would reveal their locations in Eternal Night. Only when the attack began would the passage's precise position be exposed.
Thus, Great Yi could take time to prepare, stockpile, and select proper guardians to station at the Wells. Once fully ready, with every measure in place, they would launch the counterattack. Their chances of success would then multiply.
From discovery to response, Great Yi had reacted with astonishing speed. The Wells had been opened, the Abyss suppressed, all at the first opportunity. Now the Abyss-born fiends were already contained, and disciple armies still surged endlessly into the fray.
Clearly, controlling the situation was no problem. There was no rush to dispatch additional forces.
This response stirred mixed feelings among the Immortals and gods present.
Especially for the Immortal Court of Lingxiao, the contrast to Great Yi's methods was stark. While both could suppress the Abyss, Great Yi not only suppressed—they planned to counterattack, to invade Eternal Night itself. This vision and audacity laid bare the difference between them.
The emotions in their hearts were complex.
Haotian's smile had already vanished. Staring at the immortal peaches before him, who knew what thoughts churned in his mind.
"Everyone, there is no need for concern. Within my Great Yi's domain, these Demon Abyss—even if they appear—cannot overturn the heavens. The banquet continues. Ahead are all manner of supreme delicacies, sourced from the Gourmet Realm, cooked by the God of Cuisine himself. They are not to be missed."
Yi Tianxing smiled faintly, raising his cup as he addressed the gathering of Immortal lords.
He exuded Great Yi's composure, its grandeur—unshaken in the face of change.
"Your Majesty, to celebrate Great Yi's ascension to Immortal Court, and now the opening of the Wells of Gods and Demons, to magnify our Eternal prestige—Chang'e wishes to offer a dance, if Your Majesty permits."
Suddenly, Fairy Chang'e rose, bowing slightly to Yi Tianxing, her voice soft yet respectful.
Originally, such a performance had not been part of her plan. But having personally witnessed Great Yi's heroic act, her heart surged, and she made the decision on the spot.
"Chang'e… will dance."
For an instant, silence blanketed the entire hall.
Who did not know that Chang'e was the foremost beauty beneath the heavens? Perhaps in the Eternal World this title had slight dispute, but she was unquestionably among the very top. Her beauty and bearing were legendary; her dance was unmatched. To behold it was to be entranced, to praise endlessly, to savor the memory forever.
Yet her identity was special—even Haotian could not compel her to dance, unless she chose so of her own will.
Now that she herself proposed to perform, surprise and anticipation filled the hall.
"If the fairy is willing to dance, then nothing could please me more. How could I not permit it? It would be this Emperor's great honor to behold the fairy's grace."
Yi Tianxing was overjoyed and immediately agreed.
But at his side, Cai Yan and the Queen Mother of the West both cast thoughtful glances at Chang'e, their eyes carrying meanings far from ordinary, as though harboring deeper intent.
