Chapter 210: Madara's Revival — The Dawn of the Fourth Great Ninja War, and Seven Draws of Fate!
"So, tell me," Nagato said, his expression cold as his Rinnegan glowed faintly. "What exactly do you want to discuss? Your eyes are gone. As an Uchiha, that means your combat strength is crippled. How can you still protect this peace you speak of?"
His gaze lingered on the bandages covering Renji's eyes. The more he looked, the harder it was to believe this man could still suppress the entire shinobi world.
"If you think my blindness makes me weak," Renji replied calmly, "then you're gravely mistaken. Even without eyes, you're no match for me."
The quiet confidence in his voice sent a ripple through Nagato's composure.
Was this man blind—or just arrogant?
Did he really not see the Rinnegan staring back at him?
"The Rinnegan you're so proud of," Renji said, "isn't even yours. True power comes from within—not from borrowed eyes."
As he spoke, Nagato felt a suffocating pressure surge from Renji's body. The air itself seemed to tremble. For a moment, he could barely breathe.
Even at half-step Six Paths level, Renji's power was overwhelming. And when his Tenseigan awakened fully, he would reach the true Six Paths realm—complete with the Truth-Seeking Orbs and chakra cloak.
"What do you mean?" Nagato demanded, his eyes flaring. Chakra erupted from his Rinnegan, momentarily pushing back Renji's presence—but almost instantly, his strength began to drain away, his limbs trembling.
"I mean," Renji said evenly, "those eyes never belonged to you. The Rinnegan originates from the Sage of Six Paths himself. He had two sons—Indra and Asura.
Indra inherited the Sage's eyes, and his descendants became the Uchiha. Asura inherited the Sage's body, and his lineage gave rise to the Senju—and their kin, the Uzumaki.
Only by merging the power of both—the eyes and the body—can one awaken the Rinnegan."
Renji's words were calm, but they carried the weight of truth.
To him, few in this world suffered a more tragic fate than Nagato.
From birth, his destiny had been rewritten by Uchiha Madara.
Madara had implanted the Rinnegan into Nagato's eyes as a child, set the stage for his parents' deaths to awaken them, and then orchestrated his entire life from the shadows.
Nagato was Obito's pawn. Obito was Madara's pawn. And Madara himself was merely a pawn of Black Zetsu.
Looking at it now, Renji thought grimly, only Kaguya truly sat above it all.
"My Rinnegan… isn't mine?" Nagato's voice trembled.
He had always wondered—why did his power drain his life away? He'd told himself it was the burden of divine eyes.
But deep down, he'd known something was wrong.
"If they were truly yours," Renji continued, "they wouldn't devour your life. You're only alive because you're an Uzumaki. Otherwise, those eyes would have already killed you. The Rinnegan belongs to Madara."
Konan stepped forward, anxious. "Then show him, Renji. Show him your Rinnegan."
Nagato's expression faltered. He… has one too?
"I can't right now," Renji said, shaking his head. "Give it a few days. My eyes are… in a delicate state."
He didn't want to risk disrupting his Tenseigan's awakening. Premature activation could cripple the process entirely, just like Toneri's incomplete awakening due to Naruto's interference centuries later.
"Let's make a deal," Renji said. "I can heal your legs, remove the black rods from your body, and safely extract the Rinnegan. You'll keep it for yourself.
You're an Uzumaki. If you rest, you can live like a normal man again. Give me eight days, and I'll show you what real power looks like."
Nagato hesitated. He wanted to believe him—but how could he?
"I don't trust anyone anymore," he said darkly.
Renji smiled faintly. "Then wait eight days. You'll see everything clearly by then. And besides—your people have already failed."
Nagato's eyes widened. "Failed?"
Renji could already sense it. Every Akatsuki squad had been defeated—Deidara, Sasori, Kakuzu, and Hidan—all captured alive.
"I've already taken them," Renji said simply. "You can confirm it yourself."
"Eight days…" Nagato murmured, glancing at Konan. When she shook her head, signaling she hadn't betrayed any secrets, realization struck him.
So this man really did predict everything.
"Then… shall we go to the Shinobi Nation together?" Renji asked with a faint smirk. "See for yourself what peace looks like."
Nagato's lips curved into a grim smile. "Fine."
He wasn't afraid. If Renji wanted to kill him, he wouldn't need deceit.
"One more thing," Nagato said coldly. "The masked man—he claimed to be Uchiha Madara. If that's a lie, why give me these eyes?"
Renji scoffed. "He's no Madara—just a puppet wearing his face. The real Madara is long dead."
Nagato's expression twisted. "Then what am I? A puppet of a puppet?"
Konan's voice broke the silence. "He knows everything about us."
Renji nodded. "Yes—and that's why I've already outplayed him."
Konan froze. "You knew I was a spy from the beginning?"
"Of course," Renji replied. "And I didn't stop you. From the start, our goals were the same. You sought peace through pain; I've already made the great nations feel that pain. There's no need to repeat it."
Nagato stared at him, speechless. His own words—thrown back at him.
Even his ideals were being used against him.
He could only sigh and nod slightly. "Then show me this peace of yours."
As they left together, their figures dissolving into the rain of paper, far away, deep in a dark cave, Obito slammed his hand against the wall.
"Damn it!"
If Renji and Nagato joined forces, his plans would be finished. Even blind, Renji was still beyond his reach—and he still had Wood Release.
Beside him, Black Zetsu whispered, "We can still recover the Rinnegan. If Nagato won't come out, then we must find the Sage's original eyes."
Obito froze. "The Sage of Six Paths' eyes…?"
Zetsu smirked faintly. "Exactly. But only Madara can retrieve them. His revival is the key."
Obito's eyes widened, a spark of desperation lighting in his mind. "Then we bring him back."
"Can you?" Zetsu sneered inwardly. He knew Obito couldn't—but Madara would soon return regardless.
Moments later, Obito appeared before Orochimaru.
"Orochimaru. How is your research progressing?"
A sinister smile spread across Orochimaru's face. "Hehehe… quite well. You've provided excellent material. But are you sure you want both of them revived?"
As he spoke, he formed a series of seals. Two coffins rose from the ground—each marked with glowing kanji.
The lids creaked open.
Inside stood Senju Hashirama and Uchiha Madara, clad in their crimson battle armor.
Nearby, Itachi and Kisame watched, eyes wide with disbelief.
"Wait…" Itachi whispered. "That's… Madara?"
Then who was the masked man?
Orochimaru's grin widened as he looked at Itachi. "Quite the revelation, isn't it?"
Itachi's eyes narrowed. For the first time, doubt truly clouded his composure. He thought of his father's disappointment, Shisui's sacrifice, Sasuke's anger.
Had he been wrong all along?
"Later," Obito said curtly. "I'll explain everything later."
He turned to Madara's body, his voice trembling slightly. "At last… it begins."
Orochimaru chuckled. "Hehehe… the Fourth Great Ninja War, then? You'll need more than these two if you plan to win."
He'd seen Renji's power firsthand. Even blind, that man wielded strength beyond reason—perhaps even surpassing Madara and Hashirama combined.
"Don't concern yourself," Obito snapped. "Just perform the reanimation."
Orochimaru smirked. "As you wish. But don't forget our deal." His eyes flickered briefly toward Itachi. "He's mine afterward."
Obito didn't answer. His thoughts were consumed by one thing only—Madara's resurrection.
With Madara's return, the Fourth Great Ninja War would finally begin.
And somewhere far away, in the Shinobi Nation—Renji's forces reported in.
"Lord Renji, all Akatsuki operatives have been captured."
Deidara, Sasori, Kakuzu, and Hidan—all defeated.
Their so-called "team battle kings" had fallen to the unified might of the new era.
The world was about to change again.
On the appointed day, Nagato watched as Renji slowly unwrapped the bandages covering his eyes. A faint radiance flickered—the three tomoe swirled into Eternal Mangekyō, then bloomed into the Rinnegan's godlike rings.
Nagato stared silently, realization dawning. Everything Renji had said was true. He had been manipulated from the very beginning.
"Help me remove the Rinnegan," Nagato said at last, his voice low but steady. "I don't want these eyes anymore. You keep them for safekeeping."
Renji nodded slightly. "That's fine. Once they're out, the life drain will stop. You'll be able to recover your strength in time."
Jiraiya's gaze softened as he looked at his former student. Guilt flashed in his eyes. "Renji… is there a way to fix Nagato's legs?"
Renji turned to Tsunade. "That depends on you, Lady Tsunade. If you use your grandfather's cells to create prosthetic limbs and graft them, Nagato's Uzumaki constitution will accept them easily. There won't be much rejection."
Tsunade folded her arms, thoughtful. "It's possible. I'll need time to prepare the tissue—but yes, it can be done."
In the anime, Naruto himself had received an arm made from Hashirama's cells; with Nagato's vitality, the same principle would work perfectly.
"Thank you," Jiraiya said quietly, relief and remorse mingling in his voice.
Nagato, too, lowered his head slightly. "I never thought… peace could feel like this."
Tsunade smiled faintly. "Then let's make sure you can walk through it again."
With Nagato agreeing to stay and Tsunade beginning treatment, the tension in the air finally lifted. Konan's shoulders relaxed for the first time in years. Even Jiraiya seemed lighter.
Renji exhaled, satisfied. Everything was falling into place.
Just then, a familiar sound echoed in his mind:
[Ding! Fate altered for Nagato, Konan, Kakuzu, Hidan, Deidara, Sasori, and Jiraiya — Reward: Seven Draw Chances!]
Renji's lips curled into a grin. "Seven in one go… not bad."
He activated the draws immediately.
[Ding! Seven draws used. Rewards: One Sage Art Chakra Fusion Scroll; Magnet Release; Dust Release; Five-Sense Manipulation; Blood-Dragon Eye; Shisui's Mangekyō ability; Sasuke's Mangekyō ability.]
Renji's eyes gleamed. The fusion scroll alone was extraordinary—it merged all three Sage techniques into a single system, doubling duration and cutting chakra absorption time drastically.
Magnet Release, Dust Release, and Five-Sense Manipulation broadened his arsenal even further, while the Blood-Dragon Eye hinted at an Indra lineage connection.
And the twin Mangekyō abilities—Shisui's peerless illusion and Sasuke's Amaterasu with Kagutsuchi—completed the set.
He laughed softly to himself. "At this rate, I might actually need Madara to make things interesting."
A moment later, the system chimed again:
[Ding! Chat group conditions met. Upgrading... New members being added.]
Renji smiled faintly. "Let's see who joins next."
