Avery Jane changed her clothes, put on her casual wear, and glanced around; the sky was starting to darken gradually.
Her heart, with the encroaching loneliness of dusk, sighed softly.
It was another lonely and cold night, no one would say goodnight quietly before she slept anymore. There would no longer be a gentle goodnight kiss on her forehead, nor would anyone drive out on the coldest night to get her a bowl of wonton noodles, never again.
"Avery, let's have dinner together to celebrate our pleasant cooperation today." Beckett Wright walked over gently, noticing the loneliness and desolation in this girl's eyes, something she should not bear at her age.
"No need, thank you, Mr. Wright." Avery declined his invitation. Sometimes when pain is unavoidable, she chose to embrace it.
Just like her current mood, she wanted to find a quiet place, to enjoy solitude, to quietly reminisce the past alone.
