In the Eye of the Chronicler, through Church's perspective, Bologue had seen Morrison's Secret Energy, but Church was simply terrible at direct combat, unable to force Morrison to reveal much of his abilities, like this deadly intense light, for instance.
Morrison raised his hand, the sharp wings behind him protruding like freshly forged blades, capable of easily tearing through steel and flesh. The radiance erupted, feathers burning in a blaze, transforming them into beams of light that descended upon Bologue under Morrison's control.
From meeting to battle, it took no more than two minutes, and in this brief time, the already dilapidated chamber almost completely turned to ruins. A massive flesh machine, exuding heat, toppled to one side, its thick limbs extending from the flesh, swinging aimlessly as if unconsciously seeking prey.
Bologue couldn't understand what it was, and more importantly, than this thing, solving Morrison first was crucial.
