"I guess you could say I know him," Serey stepped past Palmer, standing not far behind Bologue, watching the two combatants, "He was one of my father's Imperial Guard. During the reckoning after the Dawn War, I locked him, the remaining guard, and my father together."
Serey marveled repeatedly, "To think, after a hundred years, it turned into this state, truly pathetic."
While Serey lamented the ravages of time, Bologue was struggling fiercely with Nansen in battle. The cramped environment restricted Bologue's sword swings; he could hack the walls along the way with each strike, but he didn't want to risk collapsing the entire sewer and burying himself underground halfway through.
Bologue retreated several steps, creating a safe distance from Nansen, then the Deceitful Snake Scale Liquid burst forth from his sleeve. In an instant, multiple silver-white iron branches unfurled like tentacles, each one seemingly possessing self-awareness, slashing from various tricky angles.
