Staring at the black dot in the distance, the Sound of Dawn began to steer in that direction. This would be their first Island encounter in the Endless Sea.
As they drew closer, it became clear that the Island was enormous. What they had initially perceived as a black dot was merely a tiny, protruding corner of it. As they sailed on, an expansive coastline stretched out, completely filling their entire field of view.
Could it be a continent? This thought first occurred to Alka. It wasn't odd for him to think this way. He had been in this world for a long time and had never encountered an Island in the distant Ocean with a coastline that stretched beyond his entire field of vision.
For the others on the ship, however, the concept of a continent was entirely foreign to them. They naturally assumed that what lay ahead was just a very large Island. Only Lucilia had ever heard the word "continent," and that was in ancient myths and epics.
