"I really didn't expect him to start chatting with a beast, and he actually felt quite accomplished," Jason quipped from among the few watching Simon fight from a distance.
"If that wolf were a hopeless villain, this scene would be much more fitting," Alka chimed in from the side.
Since Simon was indeed babbling away over there, they couldn't hear exactly what he was saying. However, the four Sentinel machines kept their sights trained on the giant wolf, preventing its escape.
"But from this perspective, Simon seems more like the villain," Matilda said silently.
Then Simon's laughter echoed again. Hearing it, the others had to admit it seemed somewhat true.
"There are three more over there that seem to want to get involved. Should we handle them?" Jason suddenly asked, raising his gun and aiming at the three giant wolves still hiding in the distant jungle.
"Fire two shots to scare them off. They won't dare approach again; their souls are filled with fear," Julia said quietly.
