The shopkeeper nodded slightly and said, "Please wait a moment, dear guests."
With that, he pushed open the door behind him and walked into the inner room.
As for whether he was afraid someone outside would steal something? HEH HEH.
Jason and his companion waited outside for about a minute.
The shopkeeper came out holding a wooden box adorned with flowers.
"Thank you for waiting," he said, placing the wooden box on the counter and then opening it. "These are the untreated raw stones we currently have. See if there are any you need."
Jason walked over and looked at the contents of the box. Various gemstones of different colors and sizes filled the small box. The smallest ones were not even the size of a pinky fingernail, while the largest were as big as a palm.
"Can I pick them up?" Jason asked.
The shopkeeper nodded. "Of course. Feel free, dear guest."
Jason nodded. Then he reached out and began to pick up the gemstones from the Treasure Chest.
