Shi nodded, her drowsy expression vanished. Standing on the construct, her eyes emitted a piercing blue light. The construct beneath her began to interface with her. Invisible fluctuations spread outwards. Mechanical devices at six locations scattered throughout the city also began to activate, spreading similar waves.
More Sentinel machines took to the air, attacking the monsters on the ground.
A squad of soldiers wearing Metal Vine Armor was working together to besiege two tall, red-skinned monsters. This squad's strength was entirely at the Second Stage, and they were struggling significantly against the two monsters.
"Use your shields to hold them back! Don't let them advance!" the soldier acting as captain ordered, gripping his trident tightly before stabbing fiercely forward.
However, the attack only managed to leave a few bloody holes on the monster's body, inflicting no real harm. The monster punched forward.
