"Hey, Len…" Claude whispered before sitting down on the tiled cement flooring. He reached inside, and Len rubbed his snout against his palm. Claude giggled. "The doctor said you're faring well. I just wanted to see you. Is that okay? Others are home, so you don't have to worry about the house…"
"I will be attending to other patients now." Dr Hayes only left after Claude thanked him again. He didn't care if Claude came. That guy should just refrain from talking to his werewolf mate where the orderlies could see them.
Claude waited for the vet to leave before turning to Len again. He turned his palm up, and Len placed his paw on it. Claude rubbed the huge paw, feeling every soft and rough strand of Len's fur. He leaned his forehead against one of the bars.
"Hey."
That was his first message through their mate bond. He could barely feel Len due to the distance.
