He took his hand back to stroke his own chin. "They also spoke to some teachers and fellow police officers. I'm surprised you didn't kill all of them."
"Some of them only knew that they were dealing with monsters who terrorized the school." Claude shrugged his shoulders. "When they found out that the hunters killed everyone they met, some officers broke orders and did what they had to do to protect the students. I spared them."
"Hmmm… still, that's a risk I won't recommend you doing again." Gregory chuckled, shaking his head, but he did so with a smile. "Survivors might turn into enemies."
Claude nodded. He didn't deny the possibility. He just said, "I'll remember that the next time… I only want to commit fewer crimes toward the Goddess by then."
