Chapter 361 - Tang San's Hellish Adventure

Tang San had prepared himself for death.

Although he didn't want to die, given his current situation, it was far better to be reborn as a human than to live a wretched, inhuman existence, suffering endless torment and frustration.

Perhaps in his next life, he could retain the memories and experiences of his previous two lives,

allowing him to learn from his mistakes and become more cautious, rational, composed, and elegant, reaching the pinnacle with unparalleled perfection.

Take Flying Immortal City, for example. Last time, even with his current form, he passed the assessment and was even sought after by powerful figures.

If he developed perfectly in the future, wouldn't he soar to great heights?

  However, at this moment,

when he discovered that he couldn't even die, but was destined to undergo 120,000 lifetimes in the animal realm, each time enduring 180,000 years of torture in the eighteen levels of hell,

faced with this unimaginable and terrifying punishment, far worse than death,

his heart, long filled with loneliness and despair, instantly stirred again.

Boundless rage and fear erupted within him,

his heart screaming in injustice, cursing God King Tang San, Nangong Lingyun, Feixian City, and even the judgment system of Hell.

Unfortunately, no matter what he did, no matter how desperately he cried out, no matter how much terror he contained,

even if he changed his curses into pleas, pleading with utmost sorrow, his body continued to move forward uncontrollably, unable to slow down even an inch.

It was like a lucid dream; he could sense what was happening to him, yet he couldn't control or change it.

He was about to leave that gloomy hall, about to embark on a path to the Yellow Springs, about to reach the first level of Hell.

Until, after an unknown amount of time, he arrived at a strange space.

The moment he entered, a mysterious wave swept over his entire body from top to bottom.

A jolt ran through him; he suddenly realized he had regained control of his body, could move freely, make sounds, and seemed ten or a hundred times more agile than when he was alive.

He could sense the slightest movement in the outside world with unparalleled clarity,

as if he could even feel how many tiny pebbles were in the soil beneath his feet, which gave him a very ominous premonition.

Facing them was a blue-faced, fanged, armored monster who spoke in a chilling voice:

"This is the Hell of Tongue-Pulling. Those who have committed sins such as sowing discord, slandering others, being glib, using clever words, lying, and deceiving will be sent to this hell to suffer the punishment of having their tongues pulled out." As soon as he

finished speaking, the three boys reacted instinctively, roaring,

  "I didn't!"

The blue-faced, fanged monster immediately laughed, its terrifying face twisting into a chilling smile.

"Look at you, still so stubborn! That's a lie.

You dare lie in the Hell of Tongue-Pulling, and you do it so confidently, you've almost convinced yourself! You've got some nerve.

Guards, bring the punishment! Help him remember whether he's ever lied."

Four little devils rushed forward, dragged him onto a blood-soaked frame, bound his limbs with chains, and even fixed his head to it.

Almost only his mouth and fingers could move.

Instantly, fear took over again, and Tang San pleaded,

"Lord Ghost Officer, I'm sorry, it just slipped out,

but I'm truly innocent! Please, please investigate!"

The demon with fangs laughed out loud,

"You lied so easily and you're still innocent? This is also a lie. Add the previous one, and your sentence will be increased by two thousand years.

Keep talking, I want to see how far you can go with your sentence."

  Tang San didn't speak again,

not because he had nothing to say, but because his mouth had been forcibly pried open by two little ghosts. Their exaggerated strength made it seem as if there was an iron clamp on it, and no matter how much he resisted, he couldn't budge it an inch.

The other two little ghosts used an iron clamp to clamp his tongue taut and then slowly pulled it out, so slowly that it might not even be pulled out a centimeter in an hour.

At first, it was alright, but after two hours, his entire tongue began to tear apart evenly.

With his senses a hundred times more sensitive than usual, the pain was so intense it made his very soul tremble.

The worst part was that he couldn't even faint here; no matter how much pain he was in, he could only grit his teeth and endure it.

  Sanzi regretted it again,

inwardly cursing himself for being so foolish.

What was the point of pretending to be pure and innocent in a place like this? Now, his sentence was extended by another two thousand years.

He didn't know if it was just this lifetime's two thousand years, or if the Tongue-Pulling Hell would add another two thousand years in every reincarnation.

The next day, Tang San didn't try to be clever; instead, he directly asked the ghost guards,

"If I've really been wronged, is there any way to appeal?"

The answer he received was that the underworld was absolutely fair and just, and there was no possibility of injustice.

On the third day, the seventh day, and the twelfth day,

every time the ghost guard supervising the punishment changed, Sanzi immediately asked the same question.

He couldn't believe that such a vast organization as the underworld, responsible for countless ghosts, didn't have a supervisory body?

But to his despair, there really wasn't.

If one had to pinpoint a possibility, it would be the black mirror atop the eerie hall, but it could only determine the degree of sin, not trace the cause and effect.

Especially since he had actively possessed someone else, and the possessed one had cooperated completely, leaving not a single trace,

  making detection even more difficult.

Cause and effect are too mysterious; only the Heavenly Emperor, wielding supreme power, or those who have cultivated to an unfathomable level, could possibly discern them.

Such individuals are few and far between in the entire universe; why would anyone waste time and energy on them?

And the mirror, which merely judges the degree of sin, would yield the same punishment even ten thousand times, and might even be increased for those who disagree.

Because what God King Tang San did deserved such punishment.

Upon learning this, Tang San instantly understood

why the art of possession was explicitly forbidden throughout the universe; once caught, the soul would be instantly annihilated, forever banished from reincarnation.

This was far more terrifying than 129.6 billion eons. Now, at least there was a sliver of hope for the future; once possession was discovered, even that hope would vanish completely, truly and utterly extinguished.

The reason lies in its extreme harmfulness and the fact that tracing its origins is extremely difficult, even nearly impossible.

For hundreds of thousands of years, he remained in a daze

, enduring countless torments from the first level of the Tongue-Pulling Hell to the eighteenth level of the Saw-Cutting Hell, his entire spirit completely numb.

Finally, one day, several unusual ghost messengers arrived. They didn't have blue faces and fangs; instead, they looked more like normal people, even wearing ordinary robes.

Under the manipulation of these special ghost messengers, he was quickly thrown into a giant millstone-like object

. When he awoke, he was in a pigsty.
