"Is it safe?" Kaneki asked this question which is very important since to him power always comes with a cost
As this is why he is rather worried about the consequences rather than the process, and especially considering the fact that it's her method which makes him more suspicious about the cause
"Dont worry, it's safe otherwise, the other self of this body wont able to survive" she replied as she used the same method on the other soul of the body due to that other self of her body also managed to successfully awaken her mana pool
"But it can't be guaranteed on others after all not everyone has more than one soul" Kaneki said this as he thought the example she took is completely invalid since her body has 2 souls where others have only one
"You dont understand this worry rat~, It's not about soul but body" the woman said this as she teased him for worrying so much
"In simple words, you can say it's like how everyone is born with different characteristics, and this is the same with mana pool" the woman spoke after taking a small pause as she wondered how to explain this
"Some people are born with as big as a lake while some are born with as small as a bucket" Woman continue to explain as she hoped this would help him understand what she wanna do
"Even though I won't deny the fact that Soul has a part in this but that is after a person awakens the mana pool which is a basic of the fundamentals" the woman said as she finished explaining and waited for his response
Hearing this made him quiet as he began to think in a new way, as he now began to understand what she meant
'If I were to be put in simple terms then it would be like mana is like a fuel and everyone back in her home world is born with a fuel tank some have big while others have small' Kaneki inwardly said as he began to understand what she planned to do
'And she said she would awaken which means we also have those but we can't use it because mana pools are totally closed in our body' Kaneki said this next in his mind since it means the method might not be as dangerous as he thought it would be
Since rather than creating, she's just gonna open pathways of the mana pool but even though he made this assumption, it would be confirmed this and not to mention this also means he must have it inside his body too
"Basically you're just gonna open paths to the mana pool inside the body which already exist" Kaneki said this as he put this in basic form and wanna confirm this
"Well you can say like that too" the woman replied as she thought about it, she thinks his way of explaining is better than hers
"Can you use that method on me first?" Kaneki asked this next as he wanted her to try that method on him before her trying on others
And he wanted to do this not because he wanted more power but rather he wanna make sure it's safe even though from the explanation he could say it's safe
But he can't say if it would be painful or not which is the reason he wanna try that before others due to his healing ability, he basically can survive anything and everything as for pain, he has already been used to it which is why it's not a problem at all
"It's impossible" the woman replied expressing her honest thoughts as for some reason she thinks it's impossible for him to do this
"What? Didnt you say that everyone has a mana pool" Kaneki was a little stunned by her instant reply as he now wanna know why she says it's impossible
"You are a special case compared to anyone I have ever seen in my life" the woman said as she replied to his question in a somewhat serious tone
'How do I explain this?' she inwardly asked herself as even though she understood what was wrong with his body but for her it's really hard to explain this to Kaneki in word which he could understand
"It would be more accurate to say that yours are already opened but at the same time it doesn't" the woman continued after a long pause as she finally figured out what to say
"You can imagine it's like a broken bucket which can't contain anything at the same time you can pour the water in the bucket", She said this as she hoped that this would help him to understand his matters well even though chances are low since she herself thinks it's a little hard to understand
"You are using mana even now, even with so little mana in the atmosphere still your body managed to refine it and distribute it through your entire body" the woman said as she could sense mana in his body
'His entire existence defies logic I learned in my life, his mana is very violent at the same time very gentle' the woman inwardly said this in her mind as she scanned his entire body
There are many other things that she has explained about mana to him yet but all those things are not important as one of those things is that mana changes based on each person
For example Some have calm as water while some are as violent as fire and it's basic common sense that one person who possess mors then one nature is really rare and even that 2 natures should be near each other
Like water and earth, fire and darkness, light and lightning, and it's common sense that a person who possesses more than one nature can't have 2 opposite natures
Unfortunately, this common sense is shattered by Kaneki in her mind due to the fact, that Kaneki has mana which is very violent and bloodthirsty, but at the same time very gentle
