Chapter 331 - Chapter 332: Allen’s Terrifying Baby Bus

Chapter 332: Allen's Terrifying Baby Bus

"We are locusts, we are locusts…"

Allen belted out the tune at the top of his lungs while riding on Lilith's back.

The sight was nothing short of humiliating.

The vampires following behind instinctively covered their faces in shame.

Up ahead, five angels led the way, swiftly exterminating any dark creatures or bio-soldiers they encountered.

"We are pests, we are pests…"

Listening to Allen getting more and more into it, Lilith couldn't help reconsidering her future plans. Once this mess was over, she'd definitely flee back to Europa and cut all ties with this lunatic before she embarrassed herself any further.

As for the part she was supposed to reclaim—she'd decided to give it up.

Mainly because Allen's abilities were a direct counter to the vampires. There was simply no realistic way to take it back.

Up on the rooftop, Green Arrow and Hawkeye worked in tandem, their arrows offering support to the other heroes. Their specialized arrowheads were proving quite effective.

But against the bio-soldiers, the results were minimal.

"Is that Allen?"

Hawkeye pointed at the distant figure boldly strutting down the street, completely unconcerned about drawing enemy attention. The five angels accompanying him were obliterating enemies like they were made of paper, which was honestly unbelievable.

In the past, Allen had rarely used his full strength. He usually relied on exploiting weaknesses and bizarre gadgets to defeat enemies, leading people to assume he was only average in terms of raw power.

Now that they were finally witnessing his real strength—it was hard to believe.

Oliver confirmed, "That's him."

The only person who'd shamelessly ride on a woman's back in public like that had to be Allen.

The two exchanged a glance and decided to join his squad.

"Who goes there?"

As Green Arrow and Hawkeye approached, the pure-blooded vampires grew wary.

"They're with us."

Allen casually raised a hand and gestured for them to let the newcomers through. With a smug grin, he said, "When the situation's critical, it's always the main character who comes to the rescue. You guys can be my support crew for now."

"…"

The two had no objections. After all the fighting, they were already exhausted.

Along the way, they rescued quite a few heroes. As their numbers grew, so did the number of enemies drawn to them.

They also managed to retrieve Bruce, who was in the middle of a one-on-one with a bio-soldier.

In this kind of large-scale battle, Batman really wasn't of much help.

Especially since he'd had no time to prepare his high-tech gadgets in advance.

"Allen, we can't save everyone running around like this. A lot of people are burning out. Do you have a way to gather the enemies in one place and wipe them out all at once?" Bruce asked.

"Ask no more."

A flash of inspiration struck Allen, and his eyes narrowed. A beam of green light shot forth, materializing into a giant bus.

Everyone stared at the green bus in confusion, unsure what kind of nonsense he was pulling this time.

"All aboard, all aboard! The Baby Bus is headed to the green meadows!"

Allen hopped into the driver's seat and waved to everyone outside.

The doors swung open, and heroes and vampires alike piled in. The bus had three full levels of space—more than enough.

"Baby Bus, roll out!"

With the gas pedal floored, the bus barreled down the street, mowing over any dark creatures or bio-soldiers in its path.

While it didn't deal fatal damage, it cleared a path with ease.

Nameless angels flew alongside the bus, clearing away any enemies trying to climb aboard.

"Drifting around the corner!"

With a wildly exaggerated expression and his tongue hanging out, Allen twisted the steering wheel like a maniac.

Bang! Bang! Bang!

The bus swerved so hard and fast that the passengers were slammed against the windows before they could react.

Once the vehicle stabilized, the shaken passengers scrambled back to their seats and buckled up, terrified of being flung around again.

Bruce adjusted his crooked mask and stepped forward. "Allen, maybe I should drive."

"Batsy, I won the Supreme Racing Cup held by the High Celestial himself. My motto: there are no slow cars, only slow drivers."

As he spoke, Allen kept the pedal to the metal, not easing up for a second.

Brakes were purely decorative.

Bruce clung to the support rail with both hands, just hoping he wouldn't be thrown out of the bus.

They plowed through a wave of dark monsters before slamming to a sudden stop.

A wave of nausea hit many passengers. If not for the monster-infested streets outside, several of them would've leapt out to escape.

"Hey, Pokémon, get in!"

After picking up Diana, the bus took off again with violent maneuvers.

Sideway drifts.

Mid-air spins.

Burnout launches.

Rear-wheel drifts.

Ugh…

Under this gauntlet of death-defying driving stunts, someone finally couldn't take it and leaned out the window to throw up violently.

As if it triggered a chain reaction, one after another began retching rainbows out the windows.

Even from afar, one could see the three-story-tall bus with heads poking out of every level, spewing foulness—some of the pure-blooded vampires were even coughing up blood.

"Activating wall-climbing mode."

No road ahead?

Then drive up the wall—Allen's philosophy was to never take the conventional route.

"Activating flight mode."

No wall either?

Then it's time to take to the skies.

After all, this bus was a construct of his power ring—it wasn't bound by the laws of reality.

One hero after another boarded the bus. It was packed to capacity. Allen personally looked after the heroes he'd interacted with before—everyone else was squished in wherever they could fit.

"Anyone still not on board?" Allen called out.

"Watch out!"

Bang!

The bus slammed right through a building.

Allen glanced curiously at Bruce. "Watch out for what?"

"…Never mind," Bruce replied awkwardly.

"Anyone else need saving?" Allen asked again.

Diana listed off a few names. "Iron Man, Superman, Hulk…"

"Forget it. Leave them."

Lifting part of his hood, Allen grinned gleefully. "Time to initiate Operation Mutual Destruction."

What!?

Mutual destruction!?

That basically meant everyone dies together!

"You've lost your mind!"

Bruce stared at him in horror.

"Batsy, I was never sane to begin with, okay?" Allen said with an unnervingly sincere expression.

"…"

Well… he wasn't wrong.

"I want off this bus! I don't want to die!"

"The doors won't open! The windows are sealed!"

"Grab the steering wheel, quick!"

"…"

Chaos erupted inside the bus.

Including Bruce, a crowd surged toward the driver's seat, all trying to wrest control of the wheel.

"Jie jie jie…"

Crushed by the crowd, unable to move, Allen let out a sinister, chilling laugh.

His voice dark and deranged: "I've waited a long time for this moment."

"The steering's not responding!"

No matter how Bruce wrestled with it, the bus wouldn't change course.

Green Lantern Hal gave a grim explanation: "We're screwed. That thing was manifested with his power ring. It's all controlled by his will."

"You realized it too late."

Allen gave a devilish smirk. "I'm going to rid the world of superheroes. Let it all end."

"Nooo!"

Bruce, furious, grabbed Allen by the collar and shook him, desperately trying to stop his madness.

Suddenly, the bus screeched to a halt in the middle of a large plaza.

From all directions, dark monsters and bio-soldiers surged toward them.

Seeing themselves on the verge of being overwhelmed, the heroes panicked, smashing windows and kicking at doors in a desperate bid to escape.

"This story…"

Allen said calmly, "Is over."
