Chapter 335: The Sixth Option—Multiverse Path

"I hereby declare that you are all released."

At the secret location where the hostages were being held, not a single face lit up with joy upon hearing the announcement of their release.

The entire scene fell silent in an instant. Everyone stared fixedly at Allen.

An elderly woman plucked up the courage to ask, "Um… when are you going to kidnap us again?"

Of course, that was exactly what everyone else wanted to ask.

"You old lady, quit joking around."

Allen looked slightly shocked. "A woman your age getting into Stockholm Syndrome? That's a bit too thrilling. I'm afraid you wouldn't be able to handle it."

Truth be told, the hostages were reluctant to leave because their lives had been incredibly comfortable here.

They weren't just being fed three meals a day with fresh ingredients prepared by top chefs—their living conditions were downright luxurious.

Every few days, they were given full medical checkups. If anyone felt even slightly unwell, a whole medical team would rush to take care of them.

Looking around the world, probably only top-tier luxury retirement resorts for billionaires could offer such treatment.

After hearing the hostages' true feelings, Allen vowed solemnly, "As long as the world still needs a shadow of evil, I promise you—I'll kidnap you all again."

Clap clap clap…

A wave of applause and cheers erupted. Some were moved to tears, genuinely hoping to be kidnapped again, and hoping it would happen soon.

The comedy troupe had already arranged for vehicles to take the hostages home.

And just like that, the matter was over.

"I don't wanna go home! I'm Superhero Joker Kid now!"

Little Morgan, face painted like a clown, sulked and refused to get in the car.

Allen frowned deeply. At that moment, he found Morgan completely unlovable—just a wild, untamable little rascal that only her parents could hope to manage.

With a wave of his hand, a portal opened to Stark Tower.

On the other side stood a pair of anxious parents—Tony and Pepper.

"Morgan!"

The moment the portal appeared, Pepper spotted her daughter, who had gone from a little princess to looking like a country bumpkin.

Her bottled-up frustration immediately overwhelmed any lingering sorrow—she looked every bit like a parent on the verge of exploding.

"Ahhh! Grandpa, save me!"

Little Morgan struggled as she reached for Allen, but was ultimately dragged home kicking and screaming—maybe to make up for a piece of her childhood.

"Allen, stay away from my daughter. Don't corrupt her," Tony warned, face dark as thunder.

No parent would want their beloved child turning out like this.

Allen replied nonchalantly, "I'll try."

"..."

Tony deflated like a popped balloon. He couldn't beat him, couldn't control him—like a worried old father on the brink of collapse.

"Let me tell you something…"

Allen leaned in mysteriously and whispered, "My old buddy's eldest son is actually still around."

"You mean Steve's still here?"

Tony shot back immediately, "No way. Banner, Reed, and I worked on the time machine together. We saw him safely transmitted into the past with our own eyes. There's no way he's still in the present."

"Heh… not yet time."

Allen cut off mid-sentence, deliberately keeping it vague.

He loved teasing and absolutely refused to reveal the secret about the Symbiote Captain America.

But Tony immediately felt unsettled, like a cat scratching at his chest.

———

Arkham Asylum.

Allen had been upgraded to a private room and even had a massive tempered glass tank installed, housing a pink dolphin.

From then on, Nanaue happily spent his days in the tank, playing with the dolphin.

Lying sideways on his hospital bed, Allen wore a gratified smile, like a proud father watching his idiot son finally marry.

Since Wayne Enterprises was a shareholder behind Arkham Asylum, all it took was a word to get Allen treatment unlike any other criminal.

In a daze, Allen slowly closed his eyes and drifted off to sleep.

———

"Time-space anchor locked. Host may now begin traversal."

"Available classes: Archer, Shaman, Druid."

"Reminder: The sixth class will have a 100% experience penalty."

"Selection timeout. Random class being assigned…"

"Congratulations, host has been assigned the Shaman class."

———

"Available multiverse paths:"

"Justice Faction: Son of Red, Infinity Stones, League of Gentlemen."

"Evil Faction: Apocalypse Comics, Symbiote Universe, Universe 1205."

"Congratulations, host has selected Universe 1205."

———

Center for Abnormal Human Research.

In the surveillance room, a mature blonde woman was watching a security feed over and over again.

Onscreen, a man had appeared out of thin air at the facility's entrance, lying flat on his back with limbs spread. There had been no warning whatsoever.

"Director Ellie, the new containment subject is still asleep."

A nurse carrying a file folder entered and reported, "Subject: Name unknown, male, estimated age between twenty-one and twenty-five. All physiological indicators are normal…"

"You can't just assume my gender."

A voice rang out from the corner.

To the shock of the guards, the director, and the nurse, Allen appeared silently in the monitoring room.

"How did you get in?" Ellie asked coldly.

Both guards had already placed their hands on their holstered weapons, ready for an American-style draw.

"I walked in. Boldly and brazenly."

Allen grinned cheekily. "Actually, I'm a superpowered individual. I get a new power every day. Today's power is invisibility. Jealous?"

Ellie's eyes immediately lit up.

Given the nature of the Center for Abnormal Human Research, people like Allen were exactly what they needed.

She subtly signaled the guards to slowly move in and restrain him.

"I surrender."

Allen raised his hands sincerely and said with a straight face, "As someone who's spent years being studied by others, I don't particularly feel like resisting."

"..."

Ellie lifted a hand, halting the guards' approach.

She then gestured for Allen to sit down.

Sitting across from her at the desk, Allen obediently straightened up like a schoolboy.

"Can you tell me about yourself?" Ellie asked kindly.

Allen nodded slightly and began, "Name: Allen. Gender: temporarily male. Orientation: temporarily female. My only redeeming quality is my unmatched handsomeness. Oh, and I'm a transmigrator—currently on my sixth system traversal…"

"Stop."

Ellie frowned and cut him off. "Just tell me your abilities."

"Shallow woman."

Allen rolled his eyes and sneered, "I can stay hard for eight hours without going soft."

"..."

Mental patient. Who the hell asked that?

"Where did you come from?" Ellie asked again, sounding increasingly impatient—clearly thinking he wasn't right in the head.

"Excellent question."

Allen struck a dramatic pose, crossed his legs, and declared proudly: "I hail from the Land of Light in the M78 Nebula! It was a peaceful morning, when suddenly… Belial, the traitor of the Land of Light, seized the power of darkness and led his Fallen Ultraman Legion in a sneak attack! As the most outstanding youth among the Giants of Light, I bravely fled across the cosmos toward Earth. But just as I neared outer space, the light on my chest began blinking—signaling energy depletion…"

"Security! Security! Lock him up—this guy's clearly insane!"
