Chapter 313 - Warm-Holes

Sakaar, due to its special position in the universe, naturally has countless wormholes around it as a garbage transfer station. However, in truth, Earth in the Marvel universe is far from simple. Blaine had guessed this long ago, and after experiencing the lunar incident, he was even more convinced.

Moreover, as everyone knows, Earth is also called "Midgard" in the Marvel universe. It is one of the Nine Realms—Midgard itself.

Earth is connected to the other eight realms and can be considered a transit point among them. Therefore, there are also wormholes around Earth, something Blaine was well aware of.

After all, not only Thor, but Loki as well, could travel to Earth. Even their father, the All-Father Odin, had been sent to Earth by Loki through a wormhole in his later years.

Searching through his memories, Blaine recalled that according to the plot, both Thor and Loki were thrown out of a wormhole before reaching Sakaar.

Therefore, it was entirely possible that Hulk had also arrived directly at Sakaar through a wormhole. Or perhaps, while passing through one, he was accidentally flung out and ended up there.

As for S.H.I.E.L.D.'s Quinjet, although it couldn't fly in space, it didn't matter if it merely drifted there.

"Wormholes?"

"Spatial rifts?"

"Long-distance space travel…"

"Interesting."

These wormholes seemed to function much like Blaine's weakened version of the Space Stone ring, both using space itself to achieve teleportation.

The difference was that wormholes were relatively fixed in position and appeared to have broader uses than the weakened Space Stone ring. They could transport not only spacecraft, but people and even cosmic debris.

By comparison, Blaine's ring could basically only be used by Blaine himself to travel through space.

"Since there are wormholes, things will be much more convenient."

After speaking, Blaine stepped out of the Hunter Space. Without resting, he stretched his legs and began running in one direction. Fifteen minutes later, the cooldown of the weakened Space Stone ring ended, and Blaine used another spatial jump.

"Phew, finally here."

From Xandar to Sakaar, a distance of more than five billion light-years—only Blaine could afford to run and teleport through space like this, and even then it took nearly a full day.

That was because Blaine only knew Sakaar's coordinates, not the intermediate coordinates along the way. Otherwise, he could have arrived in just three jumps. Without those reference points, his path through space was random, and even he didn't know where he passed along the way.

Still, when he saw the chaotic space-time turbulence a thousand meters ahead, Blaine felt relieved. That was the entrance to Sakaar's spatial wormhole.

Why relieved? It wasn't because he was physically tired from running so far. It was because he was utterly sick of traveling like this.

Even though the actual distance he covered might not have been enormous, Blaine felt as if he had been running for at least ten days or half a month. He had used the weakened Space Stone ring dozens of times. Even if the physical strain was minimal, the mental and psychological boredom was unbearable.

The violent spatial winds were visible to the naked eye, and even from thousands of meters away, Blaine could feel a sharp tingling sensation on his skin.

Suddenly, a small meteorite about five meters in diameter entered Blaine's field of vision. It was moving at incredible speed and appeared to have deviated from its orbit. If Blaine guessed correctly, this was the source of the surrounding spatial turbulence.

Buzz buzz…

In the blink of an eye, the meteorite plunged into the turbulent flow. Ripples instantly spread through the vacuum, and the meteorite was torn apart by the spatial currents like tofu.

"So the spatial turbulence has reached this level,"

"No wonder no one can discover or enter the wormhole."

As Blaine spoke, he continued moving toward the center of the turbulence.

At the core of the storm was pure darkness, from which a terrifying suction force poured outward.

Crack crack crack crack…

As Blaine drew closer, the invisible pressure caused his bones to creak.

Locking onto the correct position, Blaine faced the wormhole and flew straight into it without hesitation.

When he opened his eyes again, a blinding light filled his vision. He didn't know which star it came from, but it illuminated everything like daylight—or at least, that was how it felt. For a moment, Blaine felt as though he had returned to Earth.

He didn't know how long he had traveled. It might have been only a few seconds, or it could have been days, weeks, or even months.

Inside the wormhole, space and time were completely chaotic. It wasn't just dark—there was violent spatial turbulence, and time itself was distorted. It gave Blaine a splitting headache, like being thrown into a front-loading washing machine and spun nonstop day and night.

"Oh my god,"

"I swear this is the first and last time I ever use a wormhole for space travel."

Holding his head as if it were about to explode, Blaine was still dazed. He could only feel the dazzling light, unable to see clearly.

Wormholes were indeed effective. They allowed for extremely long-distance travel, and with precise coordinates, they were incredibly convenient—almost like teleportation methods from fantasy films.

However, overall, they were still far less practical than the weakened Space Stone ring.

Although the ring had a long cooldown, it was portable. It was essentially a mobile teleportation array, with no lingering dizziness after use. The side effects were minimal, the speed was fast, and it was far more reliable. Blaine resolved to stick with it in the future.

"Huh? Wait."

"Teleportation arrays?"

"Magic is supposed to be part of Marvel too…"

"I wonder if it can be replicated."

"As long as I can analyze its composition and nature,"

"Maybe I can improve the weakened Space Stone ring."

Although the system specified that the weakened Space Stone ring couldn't be upgraded, if Blaine could understand the principles behind wormholes and spatial rifts, perhaps the system could be modified.

Thinking of this, Blaine couldn't help but grin.

Suddenly, his danger perception activated automatically. Even though he still couldn't see clearly, he could feel the threat distinctly.

In an instant, Blaine dodged to the side. At the same time, the Flood Dragon Trident appeared in his hand.

Countless objects suddenly fell from above, crashing down like a mountain. Blaine's vision darkened.

"A sneak attack?"

Gripping the trident tightly, Blaine lifted it and swept it outward in a single motion. With a deafening crash, the concealed debris was shattered into fragments by Blaine's strike.
