Chapter 315 - Poison

"Okay?"

"That's strange. Where is it? Why is it gone?"

Looking around, there was no sign of any hidden weapon. All that remained was a chaotic mess—everywhere was strange garbage. There were wrecked battleships, shattered stones, and even layers of unidentifiable debris piled together.

So Blaine had been treated as nothing more than garbage and tossed in here with everything else. He now strongly suspected that this wormhole was specifically used for dumping trash, not for transporting people at all. No wonder he felt so dizzy…

"Damn it, that old woman didn't trick me on purpose, did she?"

Looking more carefully, he noticed that a pile of garbage had been neatly sliced into pieces. Only then did Blaine understand.

It wasn't those garbage robbers who had attacked him earlier—it was the garbage dump falling from the wormhole directly above his head…

"Damn, were they treating me like garbage?"

"It seems they misunderstood."

"Sigh, I really didn't want to do anything."

"But no one else to rob, and you had to rob me."

"Then it's time to fall. Hmph. Death is more than deserved."

As Blaine spoke, he took out the Flood Dragon Trident again. Holding the front section firmly, he rubbed the shaft with his other hand, and a smear of blood-red liquid immediately seeped out.

This vivid red was not Blaine's blood, but a long-forgotten cursed poison. One must not forget that the successful evolution of the Flood Dragon Trident was inseparable from the sacrificed Cursed Blood Blade. Fortunately, the cursed poison still remained.

After drawing out some of the cursed poison, Blaine retracted the Flood Dragon Trident and casually dripped the poison onto the pile of flesh as he walked.

Instantly, foul-smelling white smoke rose under the blazing sun. The ground seethed violently, and after a short while, those chunks of flesh—those robbers—completely vanished from the universe.

As for why Blaine did this: first, this was their territory. No matter how wrong those people were, they were still connected to Grandmaster and could be considered his subordinates. One must consider the owner before beating the dog, let alone when these people had ties with Grandmaster.

It definitely wasn't because Blaine was afraid. With his temperament, let alone killing a few people—even wiping out an entire planet would mean nothing to him. However, Blaine was currently holding that mysterious metal key, and to avoid unnecessary trouble, he had no choice but to restrain himself.

Second, it was to hide his whereabouts, making it easier to obtain the key and the tenth-level star core.

One approach was to charge in head-on and immediately become an enemy of the Deadman family. The other was to sneak in, take what he needed, and leave quietly. Which one was more advantageous was obvious.

Therefore, to ensure nothing went wrong, caution was not excessive.

Now that he had arrived on Sakaar, Blaine intended to find the star core and the key.

"Oh, right."

"Those robbers mentioned a strong guy just now."

"And a Valkyrie?"

"That should be Thor."

He hadn't expected to encounter Thor here by such a coincidence. If that big guy wielding the hammer returned to Asgard to reclaim the throne and take charge again, then Hela would likely bring about another fierce battle.

Those robbers had said they could capture people and sell them to Grandmaster. From that alone, it was clear that the arena under Grandmaster's control was no good place. Calling it a large-scale human trafficking base wouldn't be an exaggeration.

Poor Hulk, Thor, and so many innocent people who were captured and forced to fight for entertainment.

Shaking his head and pushing those thoughts aside, Blaine continued striding forward.

Hawkeye activated, and Blaine expanded his field of vision to its limit. In fact, Sakaar wasn't large. A single Grandmaster ruling the entire planet already hinted at its scale.

Although the planet was small, its population was considerable—just highly concentrated under Grandmaster's control.

The small size made it easier for Blaine to observe. As he ran and surveyed the surroundings, a cluster of buildings soon entered his vision.

In an instant, Blaine flashed directly to the location. Looking around, the land here was indeed fertile. The total area was only about the size of the United States, but the density of buildings was more than three times that of an ordinary state.

Compared to the garbage mountains outside the city, this place was pure paradise. Luxury villas, wealthy courtyards, and bustling districts rose one after another, orderly and neat, like a modern metropolis.

With the limited area, the population density naturally skyrocketed. Compared to the bustling crowds inside the city, it was hard to find gatherings of people outside, even after walking a long distance. This was likely where the majority of Sakaar's population was concentrated.

At the edge of this extravagant city stood a wall dozens of feet high, separating it from the garbage beyond—and dividing poverty from wealth.

Blaine observed only four gates along the wall. That meant anyone entering or leaving the city had to pass through one of those four points.

"Grandmaster really played this well."

"These four gates don't just control Sakaar's economic lifeline."

"They also control everyone's wealth and poverty."

Quite a few people were gathered beneath the gates. They were likely the outer-city residents the robbers had mentioned, here to exchange items.

This system not only replenished the city's supplies but also regulated the morale of the outer-city population.

With access to daily necessities, those outsiders would remain relatively content and unlikely to cause trouble or riots. After all, living was better than dying.

Without coming here personally, it would be hard for outsiders to imagine such a miraculous city standing on a planet known as a garbage transfer station.

Blaine didn't hesitate and directly teleported inside.

"Where do I start looking?"

"This feels a bit out of control."

After a brief silence, Blaine decided to go straight to Grandmaster. As long as he dealt with him, all problems would be solved.

But that was easier said than done. Not only did Blaine not know Grandmaster at all, he didn't even know what he looked like. And even if he found him, there was no guarantee Grandmaster would reveal where the items were.

"Oh, forget it."

"We'll talk after I find him."

"At worst, I'll just use mind control to read his memories."

After saying that, Blaine once again used Hawkeye to survey the city he was in. Straight ahead, at the very center of the city, stood the tallest building on the entire planet.
