Chapter 328 - Slaughter

There wasn't even enough room for three people in a single seat, and even the aisles were packed full.

The atmosphere at the scene was reignited and pushed to another climax, even louder than the cheers that had erupted for the Hulk.

Bang…

Bang…

Bang…

The sound of several heavy gates opening drew the attention of everyone present, including Blaine.

The passage where the gladiators had appeared earlier was opened once again. This time, however, it wasn't a single fighter emerging, but groups—first a few, then dozens, then hundreds—still pouring out continuously.

In addition to the mantis creatures Blaine had already seen, stone men and countless other gladiators emerged. In short, there were far too many to count.

What truly caught Blaine's attention, however, was a special group among them. Some wore black uniforms, others had their faces covered, but all shared the same sneaky, unified air.

These people were familiar to Blaine. They weren't gladiators at all, but Grandmaster's subordinates—the same kind of people who had attacked him before.

Presumably, this was also one of Grandmaster's methods: mixing his men into the crowd to stir chaos, seize the right moment, and deal Blaine a fatal blow. Quite the tactic.

It was likely that previous challengers had all died this way.

The arena, which had seemed empty at first, was now completely packed. Faced with the massive crowd of opponents, Blaine's slender figure suddenly looked terribly out of place.

Even the audience was filled with worry for him. No matter how one looked at it, they weren't optimistic about Blaine's chances.

Boom…

Boom…

Boom…

Three cannon blasts rang out, signaling the official start of the match.

Zing—

Chirp…

Sure enough, just as Blaine had expected, Grandmaster's men were the first to incite the attack.

Several long spears were hurled at Blaine from all directions, sealing off every possible escape route. The cold gleam of their tips testified to their sharpness, and the green sheen revealed that they had been coated with poison—meant to kill him outright.

"Don't blame me for being ruthless."

Before the audience could even process what was happening, Blaine's figure had already appeared beside one of them. His hand shot out like a steel vise, clamping tightly around the man's neck.

There was only the faint sound of a crack as Blaine applied a bit of force. The man's head tilted to the side, and when Blaine released him, the body collapsed to the ground like mud.

The same scene repeated several times within a few seconds. Blaine eliminated the first wave of attackers almost instantly.

"Today, in this arena,"

"The Bounty Hunter and you can only stand on opposite sides"

"Either he dies, or you die,"

"Think it through carefully for me,"

"If you don't fight, you'll have nothing to eat!!!"

"Hmph!"

At the start, Grandmaster noticed that all those who had died were his own subordinates, while the gladiators merely stood by and watched without acting. This immediately enraged him.

Without caring about his image, he angrily revealed his intentions outright.

Perhaps fear of Grandmaster ram deep in the gladiators. At his words, they were quickly mobilized, and Blaine was submerged by the crowd in no time.

In the arena, there were no restrictions on weapons, equipment, or rules. The fight only ended when one side fell or surrendered. But it was obvious that Grandmaster had no intention of giving Blaine a chance to surrender. Naturally, Blaine had no such intention either.

With a flick of his wrist, the Flood Dragon Trident appeared in Blaine's hand. Using the Spring and Autumn Saber Technique, he swung it once, instantly splitting three people charging at him into two.

This strike didn't intimidate those rushing in from behind. Instead, the sight of blood further stimulated their nerves. Their eyes reddened, their speed increased, and they charged even more frenziedly, eager to tear Blaine apart.

"Hmph,"

"A bunch of youngsters daring to act arrogantly in front of me."

As he faced the surging crowd, the cold light in Blaine's eyes flickered even more fiercely. The dragon trident in his hand danced faster and faster, each swing claiming another life.

But there were simply too many people. In just tens of seconds, Blaine had cut down hundreds, and the number was still increasing. It was impossible to tell how many more were still pouring out of the passage.

"Oh shit,"

"How many people did this old bastard Grandmaster buy?"

"I don't believe I can't finish killing them."

Though dealing with such fodder wasn't difficult, Blaine understood the truth that too many ants could still kill an elephant.

"Take this!"

At a certain moment, Blaine suddenly leapt out of the crowd. Gripping the dragon trident with both hands, he raised it high above his head and slashed down fiercely.

In an instant, a blade of light more than ten feet long crashed down from the sky. The arena floor was split apart like a potato, cleaved straight down the middle. The crack was so deep and dark that its bottom couldn't be seen.

The fissure extended outward, even collapsing a passage entirely. It nearly killed several spectators in the stands, not to mention those crushed to death beneath the fallen corridor.

The crowd inside the arena fared no better. With just this single strike, no one knew how many lives were lost beneath the Flood Dragon Trident.

Blaine's move shocked everyone present. The entire arena fell silent, and even the soldiers charging forward stopped in their tracks. Grandmaster on the viewing platform was completely stunned—he had likely never witnessed such a battle before.

The gladiators who had been eager to fight Blaine moments ago now stood frozen in place, as if turned to stone.

Don't be fooled by their earlier bravery. They all understood what had just happened. Their so-called ferocious assault hadn't even come close to touching Blaine.

Zing—

Chirp—

"Kill him,"

"Otherwise we'll be buried with him."

Suddenly, several inflammatory voices rang out from within the crowd. There was no need to think—it was Grandmaster's doing again.

Blaine dodged a laser cannon blast, flipped the trident in his hand, and appeared among them in a flash.

Before they could even show expressions of despair or fear, the trident fell. A massive head rolled across the ground like a ball for several turns before the body finally collapsed.

The remaining people seemed to have their shared rage reignited by Blaine's brutality. They surged forward once more, as if everything that had just happened meant nothing, continuing to fight regardless.

"I swear,"

"If you won't learn,"

"Then I'll just keep practicing on you."

Seeing the crowd charge at him yet again, Blaine couldn't help but grin, clearly enjoying himself.
