Raven and Alara finished the construction of their secret entrance and decided to leave for their next goal. Done with the base for now, Raven left Momma Jean and Darlene Wexler in charge. Without ceremony, they exited the base, climbing into the Ironhowl X4, as Raven began the return drive to New York City. The Ironhowl drove down the desolate highway road, as its reinforced suspension absorbed the cracked pavement and debris that already destroyed the road. The late morning sun filtered weakly through the ash colored clouds above their heads, casting an amber haze across the decaying landscape in front of them.
As they approached the outskirts of the city, Raven suddenly slowed the Ironhowl down and pulled over to the side of a ruined overpass road. Her fingers taped once against the steering wheel in excitement, and with a mental thought, the Ironhowl dissappeared into Sanctuary.
After arriving outside Rose Manor. Raven turned to look at Alara as her lips smiled in amusement. "My gift for you is ready, Alara... the Hellraiser is finally ready to unleash some hell."
Alara's entire face lit up in suprise and joy, as her eyes began glowing an almost regal and ethereal blue. Without another word to Raven, Alara jumped out of the Ironhowl and ran towards the vehicle maintenance bay, her shoes skidding to a halt on the cement of maintenance bay. The massive doors to the vehicle bay automatically opened as she approached, revealing the black tank within.
The tank was impossible to miss. The Hellraiser stands as monument to chaos: a massive, heavily modified tank, its surface painted black and coverd with odd weapons, and what looks like jerry-rigged devices designed by a madwoman to torture both zombies and humans alike.
"Oh my god," Alara yelled as she climbed the tank with wild excitement. She popped the top hatch open and slid into the cockpit, her voice echoing from inside moments later. "This tank has a cup holder... and air conditioning... I'm in heaven right now!"
Raven climbed inside behind her, sliding easily into the co-piolet seat as she gestured to a side console saying to Alara. "The Hellraiser has a cappuccino machine and a fountain pop dispenser as well. I made sure to include all the luxuries we might need for our little date with the Red Blood Raiders and Adam Carter. There is even a king-sized bed in the back for...us to have fun with, if we find time. We can live in here if we want to."
Alara turned her seat towards Raven with a stunned laugh, her eyes wide as she said. "You're so kinky, Raven! I've heard of the mile-high club from our movies we watch together, but who's ever heard of... the spank tank club?"
Raven lifted her head in pride, saying. "There is a first time for everything, Alara!"
Raven continued saying. "Now that the Hellraiser is set up, why don't you take it out for a slaughter? You have already finished your pilot training with the simulator I built for you. Alrara, you are more than ready to unleash some mayhem."
Alara did not need any more encouragement. She sat up in the piolet seat that was labeled with a bright red sign on the back that reads "Boss" as she pressed the ignition button. With a smile on her face, she hit the big red button. The cockpit came to life as the Hellraiser's engine started. A deep mechanical engine noise echoed throughout Sanctuary.
With a mental command, they left Sanctuary. Reapearing in the same spot where the Ironhowl vanished from, the Hellraiser now charged forward. As the road cracked open beneath its weight the tank began moving forward at a steady 60 miles per hour, the sound of its caterpillar tracks enough to make someone death.
The streets of New York trembled under the tanks presence.
The sound alone is enough to draw zombies to them. As zombies began to run out from alleyways, storefronts, and abandoned vehicles, their rotting heads looking towards the source of the noise. One by one, they walked in front of the tank.
Splat. Splat. Splat.
The zombies became nothing more than roadkill flattened into wet stains beneath the relentless caterpillar tracks. The Hellraiser didn't slow down, or flinch. As the Hellraiser left behind a trail of gore that grew with every block they travled.
Raven leaned back in her co-pilot seat, marked with an equally bold red label reading "Big Boss." Her voice carried a hint of amusement as she said to Alara. "Press that big pink button on your console. You're in for a surprise Alara, this is how we are going to deal with Adam Carter."
Alara's fingers hovered over the button for a second before she slammed it. Instantly, a sound of echoed from the exterior of the tank. As a group of loudspeakers activated.
Playing out of them at full volume is the most obnoxious music known to man, off-tempo, polka music.
All around them, the streets came alive with motion. Zombies from blocks away began moving in masse, drawn toward the source of the music. The polka music echoed off crumbling skyscrapers, forming a nightmarish beacon that pulled the dead towards them like moths to to their enemy.
Alara blinked in disbelief, hands still on the sterring wheel. She turned to Raven, her voice half-panicked. "You're not seriously going to do what I think you're going to do... right Raven?"
Raven's smiled saying "That's right. It's time to party."
