The Moon Worship Cult's headquarters has always been the center of attention.
For ordinary people it is their place of worship so naturally it attracts considerable attention. But for the Emperor and Elder Shi it is their target so naturally there is even more focus.
Today the Moon Worship Cult leader personally emerged from the headquarters. His formidable cultivation allowed him to carry a massive steel ship weighing tens of thousands of pounds. He swept through with such grandeur that it instantly captivated countless people.
The Moon Worship Cult leader was already the center of attention. And now carrying another massive steel ship unless one was blind everyone's eyes were fixed on him.
This immense display of power naturally caused countless people to kneel in reverence while paying homage to the Moon Worship Cult leader.
Of course Elder Shi and the others were more concerned about the Moon Worship Cult leader's true intentions.
What was the purpose of such a massive steel ship? Steel sinks so why would he use it to build a ship?
The Moon Worshiper remained completely calm. He was oblivious to the kneeling masses and simply walked forward.
Others might be overwhelmed by the countless groves of worshippers but to the Moon Worshiper it was because they did not understand him.
"Such a powerful force! Even if I used Magneto's powers I could not lift such a massive steel ship!" Following beside the Moon Worshiper Alex marveled at his mastery as he effortlessly lifted a ship weighing tens of thousands of pounds.
Alex could not lift it himself. With his current abilities he could only lift a car. Well maybe a truck on a good day...
Regardless the Moon Worshiper lifted such a massive ship and behind him many watched in awe while drawing a large crowd.
Elder Shi, Tang Yu and the others also hid in the crowd. Just like that they made their way straight out of the city and arrived at a large lake outside.
Amidst music and fanfare and with guards clearing the way, the Moon Worshiper, Alex and the others arrived at the lake. Soon a grand procession approached.
The Emperor of Nanzhao alighted from a regal carriage. Apparently having heard about the Moon Worshiper's parade through the streets with a massive steel ship, the Emperor had come to see what he was up to.
"Greetings Your Majesty!" the Moon Worshiper while holding the ship said calmly as he watched the Emperor approach. After lowering the ship temporarily he bowed slightly as a gesture of respect.
Regardless the man before him was the Emperor of Nanzhao and due respect was required in public.
"Master your strength is impressive but what are you planning with just a ship made of steel?"
The emperor showed Moon Worshiper ample respect on the surface. After some polite pleasantries the emperor pointed to the large ship beside him in surprise and asked.
"Your Majesty this is a ship I recently built. I want to use it to ride the wind and waves and now I want to put it into the water" the Moon Worshiper replied calmly without any intention of hiding anything.
"A large steel ship launching into the water?" The emperor was stunned when he heard the Moon Worshiper's words.
Then he walked to the side of the large ship and touched it gently. The texture was cold to the touch. It was indeed made of steel which made the emperor even more surprised.
"Master may I ask, steel will sink to the bottom of the water. Why did you build a large ship out of steel? How can such a heavy weight of tens of thousands of pounds float on the water?"
The emperor asked and his words also expressed the thoughts of everyone present.
"This involves many fundamental principles of heaven and earth. Explaining them would be too complex. I can only say that based on my calculations this steel ship will have absolutely no problem sailing on the water."
Even if the Moon Worshiper explained the calculations of buoyancy they certainly would not understand. So naturally he would not elaborate further.
"Well since you have so confidently stated that this steel ship can float then my people and I will wait and see."
Steel sinks to the bottom of water which is common sense. But the Moon Worshiper insisted that it floats which puzzled the emperor. Regardless let us stick to facts.
"Master this ship is actually going to be launched and sailed?"
Hearing the conversation between the emperor and the Moon Worshiper many of the people who had followed looked at each other in surprise.
Initially seeing the leader holding up such a massive steel ship the people assumed it had some other purpose. Perhaps as a sculptural landmark. They had not expected it to be used like a wooden boat.
Although Moon Worshiper enjoyed great prestige within Nanzhao and most of the people were his followers, steel would sink underwater. This had been an unchanging law for millennia like the sun rising in the east and setting in the west.
But today Moon Worshiper proposed using a steel ship for navigation?
This was tantamount to asking the sun to rise in the west.
Despite the people's deep faith in him they remained skeptical of the possibility of a steel ship floating on the water.
Moon Worshiper was not surprised by their skepticism. In fact if Mister Alex had not previously explained the truth about buoyancy he would not have entertained the wild idea that steel could float.
"Everyone is drunk but I am sober!"
Moon Worshiper was accustomed to such situations so he remained silent. Let facts speak for themselves.
With a slight nod without answering the emperor, Moon Worshiper's powerful cultivation surged. He lifted the massive steel ship once again and headed toward the nearby lake.
Behind the Moon Worshiper and his companions countless people were discussing the matter.
Could a giant steel ship really float on the water? How was that even possible? However the Moon Worshiper was certain...
"Mister Alex I have put a lot of effort into this ship and it has attracted so many people to watch. Success or failure depends on this. I hope Mister Alex's words are true otherwise I will be embarrassed today..." As they dragged the giant steel ship to the lake the Moon Worshiper whispered to Alex.
"You are not even sure of it yet you put so much thought into building this iron ship?" Alex was secretly surprised by the Moon Worshiper's words.
The Moon Worshiper's belief in pursuing the truth was indeed unwavering.
Under the watchful eyes of the crowd the Moon Worshiper slowly lowered the giant steel ship into the water...
