"Everyone except Alan, please leave the room at once," the guard instructed.
"Good luck, dude!" Bob gave me a thumbs up before walking toward the door. Linus, behind him, simply nodded at me.
These two really can't stop teasing me… but I'm glad both of them are safe.
Everyone stood up and began to leave the room. All except Maya. She stubbornly refused to move.
"Why do we need to leave? We are all Alan's friends, aren't we?"
"What are you talking about, sis? A royal is coming to visit. People like us need to leave," Evelyn said as she pulled Maya to her feet.
"Yeah! Know your place, village girl." Bob's head suddenly appeared from the doorway as he said that to Maya, his eyes mocking her.
"Village?! You-!" Maya instantly stood up and chased Bob out of the room. I could swear I heard Bob screaming for mercy outside after that.
