Land of Wind.

An izakaya.

Jiraiya, his face flushed, sat between two beautiful, scantily-clad women. His neck was covered in hickeys.

"Hehe, let's keep drinking." Jiraiya, holding a sake cup, squinted at the women's curvaceous bodies with a smile. After leaving Konoha Village, he had been tracking Kakuzu. He had intended to use him to find the location of the mysterious organization. But to his surprise, Kakuzu was too experienced at being a target. Jiraiya was discovered during his pursuit. The two of them fought, but it was inconclusive. Neither could defeat the other in a short time. Kakuzu easily shook him off.

Jiraiya thus lost the lead. Fortunately, Kakuzu seemed to enjoy taking on black market commissions. This gave Jiraiya a chance to continue his tracking. Having learned his lesson, he didn't dare to get too close to avoid being discovered.

Just then, an orange toad leaped in from outside.

"Ah!" The two women were immediately startled. They had never seen such a large toad. And it was quite ugly.

Jiraiya's eyes, previously hazy from drunkenness, focused as he looked at the orange toad. He was slightly startled and sobered up a bit.

"You two, go outside first." Jiraiya knew the toad wouldn't come to him without a reason. It must be something important. After the two women left, Jiraiya asked, "What's your name? I've never seen you before."

"Lord Jiraiya," the orange toad replied. "I'm Gamahiko, the reserve contact frog for Konoha Village and Mount Myōboku."

"Reserve?" Jiraiya was a little surprised. "What about Gama-kichi?"

"He's dead. They're all dead. They all died." Gamahiko's mood suddenly plummeted. It couldn't control itself, and tears dripped down.

"What do you mean?!" Jiraiya shot up. He had completely sobered up now. "I'm the one who killed Mount Myōboku." Long ago, the Great Sage Toad had given him a prophecy. But he had never found the person who would destroy Mount Myōboku. It resulted in a great disaster.

"Who did it?" Jiraiya looked up. "Who did this?"

"Sasame," Gamahiko replied.

"What?" Jiraiya was stunned. He quickly confirmed. "Who did you say?"

"The Sixth Hokage of Konoha Village, Sasame," Gamahiko said, taking a deep breath.

"How could it be him?" Jiraiya was perplexed. Mount Myōboku was an ally of Konoha Village. Why would Sasame be so ruthless? How could he have such terrifying strength? Jiraiya closed his eyes. He didn't know what to do. Should he kill Sasame? But he was the Hokage.

The grudge against Mount Myōboku, however, had to be avenged. The Great Sage Toad's status in his heart was no less than that of Hiruzen Sarutobi.

"Sensei!" Jiraiya opened his eyes. "Sasame! Come with me to Konoha." Because Mount Myōboku was destroyed, he couldn't use the Reverse Summoning Jutsu. He had to travel with Gamahiko. Along the way, he learned about the entire process of Mount Myōboku's destruction. He also understood why Gamahiko had survived. At the same time, it was confirmed that this Sasame was indeed the Sixth Hokage. Because his Wood Release and Sage Mode couldn't be faked. What shocked Jiraiya was that Sasame had the Mangekyō Sharingan. This led to a bad association. If not for the age difference, Jiraiya would have concluded that Sasame was the one who took Shisui Uchiha. Even if he wasn't, the two must be related.

The Forest of Death.

Jiraiya stopped. "Sasame, you hide somewhere and wait for me to summon you." Since Sasame had killed all the toads of Mount Myōboku, Gamahiko's appearance in Konoha would be dangerous. Gamahiko leaped away. Jiraiya leaped up, not using the main gate, but climbing the walls and roofs, heading to the Sarutobi clan compound at extreme speed. He only trusted Hiruzen Sarutobi now. He didn't dare to see anyone else, not even Tsunade. Because they might all inform Sasame.

"Who's there?" Hiruzen Sarutobi's cloudy eyes narrowed slightly as he looked at the roof.

"It's me," Jiraiya said as he landed.

"Why didn't you use the front door?" Hiruzen Sarutobi smiled. "That's not like you." Jiraiya was always quite formal in front of him. This was the first time he had ever snuck in like this. Besides, this was Konoha, not some other ninja village.

"Sensei, I have something to tell you." Jiraiya sat down opposite him. Hiruzen Sarutobi was a little startled. Jiraiya was usually full of energy, but now he was listless. It reminded him of Kakashi Hatake back then.

"You're not yourself today. What happened?" Hiruzen Sarutobi's smile faded.

"Mount Myōboku has been destroyed. The Great Sage Toad and all the other toads have been killed," Jiraiya said, his face grave.

"How is that possible?" Hiruzen Sarutobi was more shocked than sad. He had no emotional connection to Mount Myōboku, so he naturally wouldn't be sad about the toads. But he knew their strength. And the Great Sage Toad had lived for a thousand years; he was unfathomable. Even when he heard the prophecy before, he thought it was very unlikely. Or, it would only happen many years from now.

"Who was it?" Hiruzen Sarutobi asked, a little curiously.

"Sasame," Jiraiya said with a complex mix of emotions.

"..." Hiruzen Sarutobi's face showed a blank expression. After a long while, he came back to his senses.

"Are you sure it's Sasame?" He still couldn't believe it. Jiraiya formed hand seals and used the Summoning Jutsu. Gamahiko appeared. After hearing the account, Hiruzen Sarutobi fell silent. He knew Jiraiya would not joke about Mount Myōboku. In other words, it was true. The culprit was Sasame.

"What do you plan to do?" Hiruzen Sarutobi sighed, looking at Jiraiya. To be honest, if he were still Hokage, he would probably be happy about Mount Myōboku's destruction. After all, those toads had long controlled a high-ranking member of Konoha Village, Jiraiya. On the other hand, it couldn't be said that they were useless. Sage Mode and summoning animals had indeed allowed Jiraiya's strength to advance. In some critical moments, they had played a crucial role. However, all in all, they weren't used that often.

But Sasame was different. He was the Hokage, possessed Sage Mode and Wood Release, and was incredibly powerful. He was now Konoha Village's pillar of strength. Because of him, the village had become the number one ninja village. Even Hidden Sand Village had submitted to him. Gaara, the One-Tails jinchuriki, was working for Konoha Village. What an achievement!

"I don't know," Jiraiya shook his head, his eyes showing confusion.

"Lord Jiraiya!" Gamahiko on the side said anxiously, "Mount Myōboku has treated you with great kindness. You must avenge us!" Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned. But he said nothing. Gamahiko's reaction was understandable.

"I know," Jiraiya took a deep breath. "But now is not the time for revenge." Gamahiko immediately fell silent. With the strength Sasame displayed at Mount Myōboku, ten Jiraiyas wouldn't be enough. How could they avenge them?

"Jiraiya," Hiruzen Sarutobi paused. "Don't be rash."

"Sensei," Jiraiya said through gritted teeth. "Is there a way to remove Sasame from his position as Hokage?" He was unwilling and afraid to attack the Hokage. In other ninjas' eyes, Mount Myōboku wasn't important. It was just a distant legend. But Sasame was their real leader. If a conflict were to arise, it was obvious who they would side with. Even if Jiraiya were to publicly announce that Sasame destroyed Mount Myōboku, no one would condemn the Hokage. They might even praise him. After all, he had taken down one of the legendary Three Great Sage Regions.

"Unless he willingly abdicates, it's impossible to remove him," Hiruzen Sarutobi said, a little speechless. "Don't you know his current prestige?" In Konoha Village, Sasame was already the second God of Shinobi. From top to bottom, everyone was obedient to him. Those who were not were either dead or had fled, like Danzo Shimura.

"..." Jiraiya had known all of this. But he hadn't expected that even Hiruzen Sarutobi, who was the Third Hokage, could do nothing about him. Did all the toads of Mount Myōboku die for nothing?

"Jiraiya, I understand what you're thinking," Hiruzen Sarutobi patted his shoulder. "But you are also a ninja of Konoha Village."

"Sasame is Sasame. Konoha Village is Konoha Village," Gamahiko said again.

"As long as it doesn't affect Konoha Village, I'll support you, Sensei," Hiruzen Sarutobi said, suppressing the urge to kill this toad. But he knew it was impossible. Sasame was already tied to Konoha Village.

"I understand," Jiraiya nodded, exhaled, and said, "Sasame, we need to plan this carefully."

Land of Snow.

In contrast to the heavy snow outside, the room was as warm as spring.

"Are you going back today?" Ōtsutsuki Kaguya opened her eyes and asked, exhaling a fragrant, warm breath.

"Yes," Sasame yawned. "If I don't go back, you'll kill me." In these past few days, he had been overworked and hadn't slept at all. Even with a Sage's body, he felt sore. When Ōtsutsuki Kaguya got her way, she was ruthless and didn't care about anything. She would only let him go when she was happy.

"I won't," Ōtsutsuki Kaguya said seriously. "Even if you die, I will revive you." She clearly didn't understand the true meaning of his words. But this was also a part of her charm. Sasame smiled. He remembered something, shifted his body, and reached out to stroke Ōtsutsuki Kaguya's smooth abdomen.

"Can you get pregnant?"

"Yes," Ōtsutsuki Kaguya nodded. "But you can't."

"???" Sasame looked at her, his face full of confusion.

"Your life form is not high enough," Ōtsutsuki Kaguya noticed his expression and said, her lips curving slightly.

"Oh," Sasame immediately understood the reason. In a word: race. Ōtsutsuki Kaguya was not human, so how could she get pregnant with a human? It was only possible after Sasame became an Ōtsutsuki himself. Unless, like Ōtsutsuki Hagoromo and Ōtsutsuki Hamura, they created life with chakra. But there was no need for that.

"I'll wait for you," Ōtsutsuki Kaguya hugged him tightly. At this moment, she seemed to be no longer the high and mighty Rabbit Goddess. But a wife who deeply loved her husband. Even if getting pregnant and having a child would divert her power, she still hoped to have a child as the crystallization of her love for Sasame.

Sasame was deeply moved. Just as he raised his head, he was sensed by Ōtsutsuki Kaguya. She licked her lips. "We'll go back tomorrow," she said. The wind and snow outside grew stronger.

A new day began. Sasame fled as if his life depended on it.

Back in the Hokage's Office, he lay on the sofa, his eyes closed. The reason he didn't go to see Tsunade was that his current state would make her suspicious. Not long after, he felt a pair of soft hands gently massaging his forehead. It was Kurenai Yuhi. Sasame had already smelled her familiar scent. But he didn't greet her. He just continued to sleep.

A long time later, he felt a soft touch. He opened his eyes and met Kurenai Yuhi's red ones. A few seconds later, her face quickly turned red. She instinctively tried to leave. But Sasame reached out and held her head. Kurenai Yuhi's body went limp. She responded clumsily. When she was out of breath, Kurenai Yuhi finally straightened up. Her eyes were hazy, and she took in deep breaths of fresh air. Her entire being was flushed red like an apple. In her quick breaths, a glistening light appeared.

Sasame saw this scene and couldn't help but say with emotion, "Kurenai-san, you're so beautiful." Kurenai Yuhi quickly looked away, not daring to meet his gaze. If not for Sasame lying on her lap, she would have already fled.

"Thank you," Sasame sat up. "Sister Kurenai's massage skills have improved."

"It's... it's nothing," Kurenai Yuhi was slightly startled and said softly. "It's what a secretary should do."

"Then was what you just did also what a secretary should do?" Sasame licked his lips. There was still a faint taste of lipstick.

"..." Kurenai Yuhi quickly stood up and said in a panic, "Sasame, I have things to do. I'm leaving!" The sound of her high heels echoed. She left quickly. Sasame stretched, appreciating the beautiful sight, then looked away. He returned to his Hokage chair and casually picked up the documents on his desk. Because of Mount Myōboku and Ōtsutsuki Kaguya, he had been away for about four days, so there were quite a lot of documents. He first quickly read through them, then began to select ninjas to sign a contract with Ryūchi Cave.

Sasame's criteria were simple: they had to have names. They could contribute some Destiny Value. Anyway, Ryūchi Cave had a lot of snakes. The weak ones could just sign a contract with any snake. As for the talented ones, that was a different story. For example, Sasuke Uchiha, Naruto Uzumaki, Hinata Hyuga, and the others.
