"Where did that come from?!"
Dr. Banner practically yelped, eyes wide as he pointed at the half-moon–shaped construct that had suddenly materialized behind Iron Man.
"Nanotech. You like it?" Tony replied with a shameless little flourish. "I—"
BOOM!
Tony didn't even get to finish the sentence.
Ebony Maw flicked a hand upward, and the ground beneath Tony shattered—then surged up like a rising wave, slamming him skyward with brutal force.
Tony was launched like a ragdoll.
Ebony Maw didn't stop there. With another gesture, several small roadside trees ripped free of the earth, twisted into long spears, and shot toward the group.
Wong reacted immediately. A shimmering shield blossomed in front of them, blocking the barrage.
"Dr. Banner, if your big green friend isn't coming out…" Strange said calmly—opening a portal under Banner and dumping him somewhere safer before Banner could protest.
"Looks like that skinny one is Ebony Maw," T'Challa muttered.
Between Maw and Cull Obsidian, Maw was clearly the more dangerous. Obsidian relied purely on brute force—simple, straightforward, and completely physical.
But that scrawny guy…He wielded something eerily close to telekinesis.
If someone had beaten Doctor Strange mercilessly, the odds were obviously pointing to him.
The others didn't speak, but secretly agreed with T'Challa.
WHOOSH!
The screen shifted again.
A flying car, warped and controlled by Ebony Maw, hurtled toward them like a missile.
Tony, already recovered, blasted it away with a repulsor shot just in time.
"Get the Stone out of here!" he barked.
"Where I go, the Stone goes!" Strange shot back stubbornly.
"Right. Good talk."
Tony rocketed forward toward Ebony Maw, but—
CLANG!
Cull Obsidian's hammer came sailing in from nowhere and bulldozed Tony straight through a building and out the other side.
Obsidian charged after him, and the two immediately plunged into a fierce brawl.
Back on the street, Ebony Maw finally faced Strange and Wong one-on-one.
He lifted a hand. Tiles and bricks all around them floated into the air.
With a twitch of his fingers, the debris sharpened—carved mid-air—into hundreds of stone spikes.
SHHHHHHH!
The deadly barrage rained down.
Strange and Wong opened two portals simultaneously, redirecting the spikes—
Right back at Ebony Maw.
Maw yanked a car into the way, blocking most of them, but one spike tore through and grazed his face, drawing blood.
Furious, he pointed at a fire hydrant. A metal component ripped free like a bullet and smashed Wong, sending him flying.
Now, it was just Ebony Maw vs. Doctor Strange.
SNAP!
Strange lashed out with a magical whip, wrapping it around Ebony Maw and tugging hard, trying to pull him down.
But Maw used the momentum, pouncing forward and slamming Strange against a wall.
Debris ripped free from the building and clamped over Strange, pinning him in place.
"Your powers are amusing. I bet children adore you," Maw sneered.
He reached for the Eye of Agamotto—Only for it to flare with energy, burning his hand.
"A simple spell," Strange said, "but unbreakable."
"Then I'll kill you first."
Maw hurled Strange to the ground.
Strange immediately summoned magic, ready to activate the Time Stone—
But Maw ripped steel bars out of the road, twisting them around Strange's wrists and halting the spell.
The Eye snapped shut.
More metal coiled around Strange, binding him entirely—then tightening brutally around his neck.
Strange's eyes rolled back as he passed out.
Ebony Maw lifted a chunk of road beneath Strange and sent him flying away like cargo.
But he underestimated one key variable:Cloak Bro.
The Cloak of Levitation yanked Strange off the slab mid-flight, dragging him away to escape.
Unfortunately, halfway through the getaway, a tractor beam from the alien ship locked on and pulled Strange upward.
And Spider-Man—who had just swung in—got sucked up with him.
The feed ended there.
"I think… we were wrong earlier," Strange said slowly. "The battle on Titan wasn't us going there by choice. They abducted us."
Tony nodded. "Makes sense. Earth's space tech isn't exactly Titan-ready. We didn't fly there—we were hauled there."
Besides… the very people abducted—Tony, Strange, and Spider-Man—were exactly the group shown fighting Thanos later.
Everyone agreed.
Strange got captured. Spider-Man got caught trying to help.Tony barged in to rescue them.And together they ended up dragged to Titan.
"Ebony Maw really is terrifyingly strong," Steve said gravely. "The system wasn't exaggerating."
"And Thanos has three more at that level," he added.
A heavy silence spread.
Tony shrugged. "Relax. No matter how many henchmen Thanos has, we win in the end. That's the part that matters."
"Right! If I were there, I'd smash that Maw guy with one hammer swing!" Thor boasted.
The others… were not quite so optimistic.
"Thor, intel on the Black Order is your responsibility," Steve said seriously.
Thor agreed without hesitation.

Tony waved dismissively. "Scott, Ant-Man's suit is perfect for stealing stuff. What else are you gonna do with it, mow lawns?"
(Meanwhile, Hank Pym also secretly thought Tony's suit was trash—so they were even.)
T'Challa tapped a finger. "Miniature vault. Wasp suit. That suggests the Wasp suit has shrinking abilities like the Ant-Man suit."
"Agreed," Strange said.
Steve cut in. "Scott was allowed into the vault. Cross planned it. That means this vault was specifically designed to counter the Ant-Man suit. Shrinking or enlarging alone shouldn't work."
A and B—both basic functions—were quickly eliminated.
"Which leaves C or D," Steve concluded.
Thor blinked. "'Growth disc'? What's that?"
"Probably a device that enlarges objects," Cap explained. "If he enlarges part of the vault, it'll break instantly."
Scott lit up. "That's gotta be it!"
Steve held up a hand. "Not so fast. Team assistance is also plausible."
Tony shook his head. "Scott, you said Cross expected a hack attempt. Big companies like that don't crumble to random hacking."
Everyone nodded.
And the debate continued…
