For Tony Stark, the other properties of mithril were actually insignificant, and indeed inferior to vibranium.
But its magical affinity was a major advantage.
Since acquiring the Hextech Gate, Tony Stark's interest in technology and magic had greatly increased; he was thoroughly enjoying it.
With Tony Stark's discerning eye, he could see that this kind of technology and magic truly possessed limitless potential, capable of breaking the boundaries of science.
But the most crucial problem arose.
Through his rudimentary research into the Hextech Gate, Tony Stark could clearly sense a huge, insurmountable chasm between technology and magic.
Basically, everything he came into contact with was incompatible with magical energy!
In other words, it lacked magical affinity.
At this critical moment, mithril made its dazzling entrance.
Tony Stark's excitement was indescribable.
"Magical affinity?"
Peter Parker paused, then his face lit up with excitement. "So, mithril can be used to create magical items? Like... Harry Potter's wand?"
"Um... Peter, Harry Potter's wand isn't made of metal, is it?" Scott Lang added weakly from the side. "It seems to be made of some kind of tree branch."
It was quite a feat for Scott Lang to be discussing Harry Potter with Peter Parker so seriously.
"Magical affinity, that's truly remarkable. As far as I know, it's a property possessed only by our Asgardian Uru metal and some other rare metals in the universe,"
Thor said approvingly.
He was actually quite satisfied with mithril.
The most important condition for forging those artifacts of Asgard was magical affinity.
Mithril had achieved that.

The system's voice suddenly rang out, interrupting everyone's discussion.
A corresponding video appeared on the big screen.
"Okay…"
War Machine's voice rang out first, revealing him fully armed, standing on an alien planet with Nebula.
"…We're just waiting for Quill to appear, and then he'll lead us to the Power Stone, right?" War Machine asked Nebula.
"Let's get cover," Nebula replied. "Back in 2014, we weren't the only ones looking for the stone."
"Wait, what are you talking about? Who else is looking for the stone?"
"My father, my sister, and me."
"And you? So where are you now?"
At this moment, the scene shifted.
Nebula and Gamora were engaged in a fierce battle on a battlefield.
Both were incredibly powerful, easily defeating enemies much larger than themselves.
Bang!
But Nebula was caught off guard and knocked down by a bomb.
An enemy seized the opportunity, pointing a gun at Nebula's head, about to shoot her dead.
Swoosh!
At the crucial moment, Gamora swiftly took down the enemy.
"I didn't ask you for help!" Nebula snapped at Gamora, her face dripping with sarcasm.
"But you'll always need my help!" Gamora retorted just as rudely, reaching out to pull Nebula up. Nebula
slapped her away fiercely.
"Get up. Father wants us back on the ship," Gamora said, unconcerned.
"Why?"
"Because Father found an Infinity Stone."
"Where?"
"A planet called Morag."
Morag was indeed the planet where the Raiders found the Cosmic Sphere.
Who found the Cosmic Sphere from Morag in the main universe is unknown, but in reality, it was Yondu.
Of course, the Cosmic Sphere is now stolen and in their possession.
In the main universe
, according to intelligence, Star-Lord was likely the first to find the Cosmic Sphere from Morag, but after his battle with Ronan, the Cosmic Sphere fell into the hands of Xandar.
Later, Thanos destroyed Xandar, finally seizing the cosmic sphere.
As everyone gathered more and more fragmented information, the puzzle of the whole affair became increasingly complete.
On the screen,
Nebula and Gamora returned to their spaceship.
"Father's plan is finally about to begin," Nebula exclaimed.
"One planet is far from enough, Nebula," Gamora said, pouring cold water on the idea.
"But this is just the beginning. If he can get everything..."
Nebula was only halfway through her sentence when Thanos teleported over via a "rainbow." He casually instructed his two daughters, "Ronan has found the Power Stone. I'm sending you two to his ship."
"He won't be happy."
"He'll die if he doesn't accept! Ronan's obsession has clouded his judgment."
"Father, I will never let you down!" Nebula immediately began to pledge her loyalty to Thanos.
But at that moment, she suddenly clutched her head and collapsed to the ground in pain. Not only that, but a scene was projected into her eyes.
It was a scene of Ronan and the original Nebula discussing something.
"So, we're just waiting for Quill to appear, and then he'll lead us to the Power Stone, right?"
Rhodes asked Nebula in the scene.
This scene left Gamora and Thanos completely dumbfounded.
Everyone watching on screen was speechless.
Meanwhile, the heroes who were traveling back in time in the main universe to find the Infinity Stones secretly held their breath.
When Tony Stark analyzed option C, he mentioned something about reading data, and everyone vaguely understood the meaning, but no one expected it to take this form.
Thanos and his crew didn't just read data in a complicated way; they could directly access Nebula's memories!
Doesn't this mean the original Nebula's eyes became surveillance cameras, allowing Thanos and his crew to see War Machine's every move clearly?
And this is only real-time memory.
If they could also access Nebula's previous memories, wouldn't Thanos know everyone's plans in detail?
This is truly infuriating.
The scene on the screen then switched again,
returning to Morag.
A rough-looking man in a brown robe, listening to music, was singing and jumping around on a muddy, potholed road.
He looked completely absorbed in the music.
The problem is, even if you sing well, it's one thing, but this rough guy's singing is truly appalling, making the scene a bit of an eyesore.
Without a doubt, that rough guy is Star-Lord.
Lost in his own world, Star-Lord was completely unaware that War Machine and Nebula were secretly monitoring him.
"So... is he an idiot?"
War Machine couldn't help but ask, looking at Nebula beside him.
"Yes!" Nebula nodded in agreement.
Not only War Machine and Nebula on the screen, but all the viewers in front of the screen shared the same sentiment.
Star-Lord, that guy, really isn't a sane person.
Bang!
Facing such an idiot, War Machine had no time for politeness, punching Star-Lord in the face, knocking him to the ground.
Nebula then took a key from Star-Lord's person, opened the door to an abandoned hall in front of them, and went inside.
The cosmic sphere was neatly placed inside a "pillar of light."
Just as War Machine was figuring out how to remove the cosmic sphere from the light, Nebula simply reached in and pulled it out.
During this process, Nebula's arm felt as if it had been roasted over a fire; aside from the main skeleton, it was completely melted away.
Peter Parker grimaced at the sight.
"She's a cyborg, so she shouldn't feel pain, right?" Peter Parker couldn't help but say.
Although it was a question, Peter Parker wasn't really asking a question; it was just a way of expressing his opinion.
Of course, Peter Parker knew that Nebula wouldn't feel pain, but even so, he was visually shocked. If
someone like Peter Parker, who was just "watching a movie," felt this way, then War Machine, standing in front of Nebula, was even more stunned.
He was completely dumbfounded.
"I wasn't like this from the beginning," Nebula explained to Rhodes.
"Me too," Rhodes said. "But we can only do our best, right?"
The two exchanged a brief conversation and began their plan to travel back in time. Rhodes completed the operation smoothly and disappeared instantly.
But Nebula encountered another problem, clutching her head and collapsing to the ground.
"This is too much of a coincidence!" Thor couldn't help but complain.
Nebula had to "go on strike" at the very last moment before she was about to leave, which was incredibly frustrating.
Even if it had been a second or two later, Nebula would have successfully returned to the future!
But alas!
She was just a second or two short.
Just like when they were stealing Thanos's gauntlet on Titan, she messed up at the most crucial moment.
Was everyone else just unlucky, or was Thanos just too lucky?
On the screen.
At the same moment the original Nebula collapsed.
On Thanos's spaceship.
Nebula was trapped in the air, a "data cable" like a chain hanging down under Ebony Maw's control, which Thanos grabbed instantly.
The device was inserted into the "USB" port at the back of Nebula's head.
"Run the diagnostics, show me her memory files," Thanos ordered Ebony Maw.
"My lord, the files seem quite disorganized," Ebony Maw reported after examining them. "Although there's a memory, it doesn't belong to her. There's another consciousness sharing the network with her, another Nebula."
"This is impossible," Thanos couldn't believe it.
"This doppelganger has a timestamp, from nine years in the future!" Ebony Maw said again to Thanos.
"Where is the other Nebula?"
"On Morag."
"Can you access her?"
"Of course, they're connected!"
Needless to say, under Thanos's command, Ebony Maw began accessing the original Nebula's memories through the past version of Nebula and played them back.
Scenes from the future were projected before Thanos and his companions.
"Daughter, perhaps I was too harsh on you in the past..."
"Hah!"
In the final scene, Thor chopped off Thanos's head with an axe.
Everyone on the spaceship was startled.
"That means I've fulfilled my destiny!" Thanos remained remarkably calm, not even blinking as his head was severed. A
true tyrant indeed.
"My lord,"
Ebony Maw approached, "your daughter...she's a traitor!"
With a flick of his wrist, the "data cable" that had been plugged into Nebula's head suddenly wrapped tightly around her neck.
At Thanos's command, Ebony Maw would strangle Nebula to death.
"That wasn't me! I would never do that!" Nebula immediately declared her loyalty.
"I know you'll have your chance to prove it," Thanos said to Nebula with boundless authority.
"Clearly, the Nebula who returned to the future and brought Thanos back from the past is this very Nebula," Thor couldn't help but say.
This was exactly what everyone had predicted.
After obtaining the cosmic orb, Nebula encountered an accident and was temporarily trapped in the past. The next step was undoubtedly for Thanos and his crew to capture her, replace the original Nebula with the past version, and send her back to the future.
However, there's one thing that's still unclear.
When War Machine returned to the future, he simply tapped the device on his wrist twice and disappeared. Nebula could do the same simply by getting up.
Now, she and Thanos aren't even on the same planet. How did Thanos capture the original Nebula in such a short time?
On the screen
, the scene switched back.
After Nebula had a seizure on the ground for a while, she recovered. But instead of immediately traveling back to the future, she went to her spaceship to contact Barton!
Everyone understood now; it seemed that the method of returning to the past must have some unknown limitations.
Nebula most likely has no way to return to the future, which is why she chose to contact Barton, who was with her in the past.
From this, we can infer that Barton is currently on Vormir searching for the Soul Stone with Black Widow.
"Romanoff, Tony, Thanos knows! Did you hear that? Thanos knows!"
Nebula shouted repeatedly into the communicator.
Unfortunately, no one responded; clearly, they hadn't received her message.
Just as Nebula was struggling to continue informing everyone, Thanos's mothership appeared overhead, a beam of light shooting down and "sucking" Nebula's ship up.
Nebula was thus captured.
The scene froze there.
