The first hour was nothing but laughter.
They stuck to rides Cameron could handle, the spinning ladybugs, the tiny pirate ship that rocked like a sleepy cradle.
It splashed just enough to make Cameron scream and grip both Craig and Merlina's hand like the world was ending.
Melissa, meanwhile, roamed like a free bird. One minute she was on a hover-swing twenty feet in the air, the next she was zipping down a neon slide shaped like a dragon's tongue, shrieking in triumph.
"I love it here!" Melissa yelled from the top of a foam climbing tower.
Craig cupped his hands around his mouth. "Be careful!"
"You be careful!" she called back, disappearing into a net tunnel.
Merlina snorted. "She's fine. She's built like a bounce house."
The VIP passes gave them access to every corner, private water areas, a petting zoo where kids fed alpacas with tiny gloved hands, a crafting station where Cameron painted a dinosaur green, gold, and somehow purple.
And Craig… he didn't hover awkwardly.
