Lillian leaned against the wall, playing on her phone.
"Where is your home? I will take you over there," Sophie asked gently, sitting down beside Adam outside the doctor's office.
Once the police arrived, Adam refused to report the case, merely stating that it was a fight among the classmates. Lillian refused to meddle any further, thinking she had done her part of the job.
However, Sophie saw his battered state and thought he should be taken to the hospital. Of course, he was in no shape to go there on his own.
Although Sophie acted recklessly and spoke rudely, Lillian knew her friend had a soft spot for anyone weak. She couldn't endure bullying, and her strong sense of justice made her step in.
Adam currently ticked all the boxes for her. Not only was the boy terribly wounded, he was scared and had a meek personality. Tears clung to his lashes. On top of that, he had a baby face.
He truly knew how to win pity from others.
