"There is a festival in the capital," Alexander informed them, "It could be seen as a celebration over the dangerous time that has just passed. I tried to get the Vampire guards to attend, but they said they had to return to the Royal Castle of Vallyn to give their report." He said with a hint of frustration, "So if you attend instead, you would be the perfect representation for the true heroes that saved Asten."
"I haven't done anything," Alessio demurred, "But a festival sounds pleasant."
"Great," Alexander shot to his feet, beyond pleased. "I'll return in an hour to retrieve you both."
Dinner had long been over, but they had sat at the dining table to talk, conversation flowing endlessly. After Alexander departed, it left just the two of them in the spacious room.
"What's a festival in Asten like?" Alessio asked curiously, rising to his feet.
