"Didn't I tell you to update me on the changes you made to the files? Because of you, I was speechless in front of the boss when he questioned me!"
One of the seniors was screaming at Ezekiel.
Ezekiel give a reason claiming he had already sent an email with highlighted changes the previous day.
But his senior was clearly shifting the blame.
In reality, Ezekiel had done all the work, the man only job was to review the final changes, which he had failed to do out of sheer laziness.
Despite the verbal abuse, Ezekiel didn't do anything, he remained silent as the senior cursed him out.
Nearby, Elizabeth watched the scene unfold with growing irritation.
"Are you really going to let him do this to you?" she whispered. "One flick from you could send that ugly human flying."
Ezekiel heard her, but he didn't reply.
