In a cabin near the woods and ocean, the sound of crashing waves echoed faintly in the distance while cold wind brushed against the trees outside. The cabin itself stood isolated, far away from people, hidden where no one would hear screams even if they tried.
Inside, the atmosphere felt unbearably heavy.
Charlotte sat stiffly on the edge of a bed while Viola slowly combed through her hair from behind.
Her body trembled nonstop.
Every time Viola's hand moved near her back, Charlotte instinctively flinched as though expecting unbearable pain to come again. Her breathing was uneven, shaky, and every few seconds her shoulders twayed violently without her even realizing it.
Though her limbs had already been restored and every injury had somehow disappeared, her body still remembered.
The pain remained.
No matter how much healing magic had erased the damage, Charlotte could still feel the dagger piercing through her flesh.
