The next day, after making sure Mio and the others were settled, Rin Yuki set off alone into the deep reaches of space.
Far beyond the Milky Way, in an unnamed star system, there was a planet like no other.
This world was already in ruins.
Its buildings and remains looked ancient and worn down, as if they'd been standing for countless years, slowly falling apart over time.
But even on this broken, lifeless planet, a thin trail of smoke rose into the sky—proof that something was burning.
Following the smoke led into a dense forest.
There, sitting quietly, was a lone figure.
It was a woman—tall, graceful, and beautifully shaped. Her figure was soft yet powerful—wide hips, a narrow waist, and full, firm breasts that rose gently with each breath. Long, pink hair flowed down her back like silk.
She wore a thin veil that only partly covered her face, but it couldn't hide her beauty. Even through the curtain of fabric, her charm was hypnotic—so powerful it seemed unreal.
Her name was Sephie Mikaela.
She was the last surviving member of the Charmians, a race known throughout the universe for their unmatched beauty.
The Charmians had two special powers: their appearance could drive men mad with desire, and their voices could calm even the most angry and violent beings.
Because of these abilities, many races across the galaxy feared them.
For generations, they were hunted, slaughtered, and invaded by those who wanted to wipe them out.
Sephie, a Charmian princess, had barely escaped during the final war, protected by her parents as their homeworld fell.
Since then, she had wandered through space with no home to return to.
Because of her natural allure, she could never stay on any civilized planet for long. Men fought over her. Leaders tried to enslave her. So she hid, drifting from one abandoned world to another.
She would land on a planet, stay for a little while, then leave again.
That's why she spent most of her time on empty, ruined worlds like this one.
This planet was just another stop on her long journey.
To save energy for her ship, she cooked using a simple fire.
As Sephie stared through the trees at the broken ruins beyond, she let out a soft sigh.
"…This place must have gone through what my people did—invaded, destroyed, completely wiped out."
She felt a sudden connection to the ruined world.
But just then, a smooth, magnetic male voice cut through the silence.
"Wrong. The people here destroyed themselves."
Sephie jumped in surprise. She stood up quickly and spun toward the voice.
A man was sitting casually on top of her spaceship. He was incredibly Beautiful, on par of Charmians, and there was something powerful about the way he carried himself.
Tall and lean, dressed in dark clothing that rippled slightly in the breeze. His black hair fell just above his sharp eyes, and his expression was calm but intense. He didn't look like a soldier or a scavenger—he had the air of a king who didn't need to prove anything to anyone.
"You… Who are you? And what do you mean by that?"
She was cautious—but also a little curious.
"I'm Rin Yuki. I'm from Earth," he said with a calm smile.
The moment Sephie saw that smile, her heart skipped a beat.
Thump-thump.
She could hear her heartbeat loud and clear.
Her body trembled slightly before she snapped out of it, quickly pushing the feeling down.
Yuki jumped off the ship and walked toward her at a relaxed pace.
He explained as he walked:
"The ones who used to live here were the Saiyans—a race famous across the universe for always chasing battles."
"Each Saiyan was born strong. Other species even called them the 'Warrior Race of the Universe.'"
Sephie's eyes widened slightly.
"The Saiyans? I think I've heard that name before…"
It sounded familiar to her.
"If you've heard of them, then you probably know how they ended up," Yuki said with a faint smile.
He walked over to the fire Sephie had built, snapped his fingers, and a cushion appeared beneath him. He sat down calmly.
Sephie's eyes showed a flicker of surprise behind the veil—but she stayed quiet and focused on what he was saying.
"They fought nonstop and made too many enemies," she said. "Eventually, the other races teamed up and wiped them out."
She sat back down and looked at the strange man sitting across from her.
"Exactly. So there's no need to feel sorry for them."
"Their end wasn't like what happened to the Charmians."
Yuki leaned his cheek on one hand and smiled at her.
As soon as he mentioned her race, Sephie's heart dropped.
Did he come for me?
Her thoughts raced, trying to figure out how he knew who she was.
"…So, Mr. Rin Yuki. Did you come here to capture me?"
Her voice turned cold, distant. One hand slid under her skirt and grabbed a hidden weapon.
In one quick move, she pointed it right at him.
"Guess."
Yuki just laughed. With a wave of his hand, the gun turned to dust.
Sephie froze.
She hadn't even seen him move—and her weapon was already gone.
She finally realized how far apart their power levels were.
Before she could say anything else, Yuki looked at the pot of meat cooking over the fire.
"That's food? It doesn't look very good."
"W-What?! Of course it's good! I cook like this all the time!" Sephie snapped back, flustered.
She yanked off the lid and stirred the pot a little harder than needed, as if the smell would prove her skills.
"No, no. This is how it should be done."
Yuki shook his head. With another snap of his fingers, a set of spices and cooking tools appeared next to him.
Before Sephie could stop him, he had already taken over.
He moved smoothly and confidently as he adjusted the fire and added ingredients.
Sephie just stared, speechless, watching him cook.
Later, when she finally took a bite—
"…Delicious!"
"I didn't know Mr. Rin Yuki was such a great cook!"
She smiled and rubbed her stomach, clearly enjoying the meal.
Her face was fully visible now—bright and cheerful, her pink eyes shining as she looked at him.
Then she suddenly realized—
"Ah! My veil!"
She quickly looked around to find it.
"There," Yuki said, pointing to the lid of the pot, where her veil was resting.
Sephie grabbed it, but just as she was about to put it back on, she stopped.
"…Wait. Mr. Rin Yuki, you saw my face."
"Shouldn't you… be affected?"
She lowered the veil again and looked at him carefully.
"Affected? Well, of course I had thoughts," he said casually.
"Any man would, after seeing someone as beautiful as you."
"But if you mean your Charmian power…"
He smiled again.
"It doesn't work on me."
Sephie's eyes widened with shock.
"R-Really?!"
"There's actually someone who's not affected by it?!"
For the first time in years, she felt surprised, hopeful and deeply curious about this man.
During dinner, she had already figured it out: Yuki hadn't come to catch her.
So now, she completely relaxed, chatting with him freely.
"Haha, it's a bit much to explain all at once. Let me take my time and tell you the whole story."
And just like that, Yuki and Sephie kept talking.
The longer they spoke, the more topics they covered.
Their conversation flowed easily, with laughter filling the air now and then.
