Waking up to the beautiful rays of the sun is always pleasant, to have no worries about anything, to do whatever you want, and to be able to whatever you want.
Sadly, this doesn't apply to Ryu, despite the fact that he wanted to laze around the entire day, he had stuff to do, and places to be.
Ryu Ogami was a tall man with an extremely large and muscular frame. He appears to be either in his late twenties or early thirties, but this was a mistake he was only 18! He has sunken black eyes, scruffy black hair with a short goatee accompanied by a moustache, as well a very unusual scar below his left eye that resembles scales.
Overall, he looks like a thug!
"Hey, that was uncalled-" Anyways, as I was saying, this young man was a student in the prestigious Kuoh academy, or some shit.
He used to live in Korea, but his Uncle and adoptive father decided to send him to Japan, and in Kuoh.
Now, Ryu was well aware of the supernatural beings, his uncle and father were among them.
With Ryu.
"Ugh, this uniform did they seriously not get a bigger size? Even when I very clearly, asked them to?" He muttered, rolling his shoulders a bit to try to stretch the clothes.
Over the years, Ryu grew way too quickly. Hiss muscle mass, height, and even his bones were growing, which was obviously very unnatural. His uncle, who was something of a supernatural scientist himself, didn't have a clear Idea as to why that was happening, and since his growth didn't threaten his health, they just dropped the subject entirely.
His rapid growth was frankly astonishing. When he first came to Kuoh, he was around 193cm tall, and slightly less muscular. Right now... he was even larger than that.
On the way Kuoh, he obviously drew some eyes, it isn't everyday that a high school student looks 25 at the age of 18.
Finally arriving at the school gates he let out a sighe, he really didn't like school.
"Hey, look it's Ryu!" Students whispered to themselves.
"Seriously, look at him man, dude looks like a cave bear." Male students talked amongst themselves.
"He's got to be on something, that size at our age? He is definitely not natural."
"…I am though." Ryu muttered with his usual blank face, not minding the talks about his size.
"…Think he's… y'know, down there too?" One girl whispered to her friend.
Oh yeah, It appears that Ryu was quite popular with the opposite sex as well, anyways ignore that.
FINALLY, making it inside the school, he came across one person who bugged him the most.
The Student Council President, Sona Shitori.
"The facial hair? Ryu? We talked about this countless times." Sona sighed and rubbed her forehead in exhaustion.
"Not even a good morning? How rude, anyways I'll take care of it later." He responded blankly and went to his class.
Sona's gazed followed him, "…and I've heard that reply countless times as well." She sighed.
In class.
He sat down in his chair and patiently waited for class to begin and end.
Ryu was aware of his place in the supernatural world, he wasn't strong enough to challenge the true powerhouses, but he believed that it was time to slowly join that other side of the world.
Ever since he was a kid, Ryu was very interested in growing stronger, possibly because of the circumstances of his childhood, but the worst of it was the fact that his talent was pretty bad in almost everything. He had very low mana, he was unable to use Senjutsu and neither could he use Touki. The only thing he had was his body, and one other thing which was his talent in unarmed martial arts.
He rubbed his head, and placed it on the desk.
His thoughts were interrupted by cheers or at this point, shouts coming from the hallway.
Slowly, the door to the classroom opened, and in came two very beautiful students.
One of them was Akeno Himejima a beautiful young woman with a phenomenal figure, very long black hair and violet eyes. Her hair is was tied in a very long ponytail, reaching all the way down to the floor with two strands sticking out from the top and sloping backward, with an orange ribbon keeping it in place.
Ryu thought she was the most beautiful woman he ever saw, her gentle smile, her elegance and everything was really, really attractive, but he didn't have an excuse to approach her, so he just admired from afar.
And the other one, Rias Gremory also a very beautiful lady with a similar figure, long red hair flowing behind her back and blue eyes.
Ryu found her to be attractive as well, after all who wouldn't? But in his eyes, Akeno was much more beautiful.
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
But, beneath that beauty the two were... Devils, supernatural beings and his uncle told him the general information on who they were, and strategically put him in their town, in their class.
Ryu really didn't know what went on in his eccentric uncle's head.
Anyways, the two found their seats next to each other and his other classmates rushed towards them, showering them with compliments and smothered them with questions regarding their skin care hair products and similar things.
Ryu was lucky in this case, despite being quite popular and extremely handsome. It was because of his face and expression that no one approached him.
He also didn't have any friends in Kuoh, nor did he bother himself to go out of his way to make some.
Anyways, that's The End of the prologue, duh.
